That was an interesting video. Certain polymers attract oil. Not all, but some do.

Specific polymers are even used in oil exploration. They send polymer down as they're drilling in order to attract oil. See this page for some basic info...http://www.wintershall.com/en/technology/enhanced-oil-recovery/oil-production-with-polymer-flooding.html

And the polymer we're using in Releasit attracts and absorbs oil too!
