First Cimex problem - Lounge Lizards - 02-28-2015 For some strange reason, my original Big Yella has started splashing solution around. As I go down the carpet, I can see splash marks outside the perimeter of the cleaning path on the dry carpet. If I work alongside a wall, it splashes up the wall about 2 inches. WHY ????? How do I fix it ???? RODNEYYYYYYY Thank you all. RE: First Cimex problem - encapman - 02-28-2015 Sounds like your plumbing is getting plugged up. I know, I know, you clean it on a regular basis. Regardless of that, when it starts to fling solution, it's an indication that the head is at least partially plugged. Give it a vigorous cleaning to try to dislodge the mineral build-up and other crud that forms inside the head of the machine. Follow these instructions... http://excellent-supply.com/CIMEX_FLOW_MAINTENANCE_INSTRUCTIONS.pdf P.S. And make sure that you NEVER NEVER NEVER use anything besides Releasit in your Cimex. RE: First Cimex problem - Lounge Lizards - 02-28-2015 Using Releasit will Release the problem?? Ta Rick, hopefully get to it this arvo, otherwise the new machine goes in the van. Aha, just realized, I have to go & do a report tomorrow up in Herberton, (up over the hill). It's only about 60 miles, but takes two hours to get there. http://www.historicvillageherberton.com.au/ We'll make a day of it, up there, do a report, drive back to Atherton for lunch, then a nice drive back down the Gillies Range. Top of the Gillies is where I busted me leg when I fell off me stationary Suzuki Virago 1100, 19 years ago last month. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=6YAXpkc6eVI That's it, thanks again, gotta get to work. RE: First Cimex problem - Lounge Lizards - 02-28-2015 Worked out what happened. When I got my 2nd Cimex, Old Original went in the shed. Had a solution line problem with the new one, so just swapped machines. OO had been sitting idle for some time, hence the build up. Simple fix. ? RE: First Cimex problem - encapman - 02-28-2015 Yes, it's a simple fix. Just follow the instructions in the PDF. You may have to repeat the process a couple of times in succession to get it fully cleared and flowing freely again. http://excellent-supply.com/CIMEX_FLOW_MAINTENANCE_INSTRUCTIONS.pdf |
