Orbot problem - Sol pump turns on but nothing comes out? - Derek - 10-18-2012

i ran RV Antifreeze through it last winter. i recently went to use it for the 1st time since, and the pump turned on (i could hear it) but it wouldn't spray.

what could be the problem(s) and how could i get it fixed?

No big deal. I take off the small black hose where it connects just before the first sprayer head. It has a quick disconnect and is easy to do. Run the pump and make sure you have fluid coming out of the hose. If you do, then reconnect and try again. That should work. In my opinion the check valve in the sprayer head is a bit stiff and you need to keep fluid in the system so an air lock does not stop the fluid from flowing.

What Lee said makes sense. If it has sat that long, the pump may need to be primed. If Lee's suggestion doesn't work give us a call at the office. Rodney is a mechanical guru and can frequently sort these things out over the phone.

update: i brought the Orbot into our living room today for a quick carpet cleaning (the Challenger is at a shop getting Powder Coated, pics coming soon) and afterward, i started on getting the Sprayborg working. after several buzzes of the fuel pump switch, a few coughs and sputters and then the solution began to flow. all is good. i shoulda realized it never froze, since no water was ever leaking from the sol pump.

tx for the assistance fellas!
