cimex or orbot - mark63 - 10-07-2015 I know cimex is the king of commercial with the fastest production times, but if I wanted to paddcap after encapping and only wanted (or willing) to bring 1 machine, does the orbot clean as well as the cimex if you are willing to give up a little production time? in other words, I can encap with the cimex or encap and then padcap with the Orbot. RE: cimex or orbot - encapman - 10-07-2015 Absolutely. You nailed it. Production is a little lower, but you have the added versatility of using bonnets for absorption. So now you're cleaning with two modes of cleaning - Encapsulation, and Absorption. And that combination can be highly effective! Oh, and if you'd like to save a couple thousand dollars, you might also consider a Vario. Same results, lower cost, win win! RE: cimex or orbot - MikeHabib - 10-08-2015 Look at the Vario. II I feel that having a tank on the machine instead of the little container that the Orbot ( Taz) gives you will make life a lot better while you are cleaning. RE: cimex or orbot - mark63 - 10-09-2015 Already have cimex and just bought a used hos orbot, originally came from Excellent-Supply! Doing a small job tomorrow for a big client, I'v cleaned the main hallway a couple of times after hwe guy did one job years ago and left soaked for days, they never had it cleaned since because of such bad exp! still has a little bit of dungy look, instead if straight encap with the cimex, i'm going to bring my orbot and do encap with ds2 and fiber plus pad and then go over it with microbeast pad? RE: cimex or orbot - NJP - 10-10-2015 Smart Mark, I would do the same! Sound like a good strategy. Let us know how it turns out. RE: cimex or orbot - mark63 - 10-12-2015 It came out good, I used punch pre spray, then orbot with ds2 and fiberplus pads, then went over again with microbeast. only my second time using the orbot so still a little adjustment period. Still look at it and just don't get the Wow factor that I usually get when encapping, And this is a job that I really want to get that Wow factor on. Thanks! That combination should have definitely produced a WOW factor! RE: cimex or orbot - mark63 - 10-12-2015 Thanks Rick, They are having me back this week for 4000sf! (big time trading company$$$) RE: cimex or orbot - Ades Gros - 11-25-2015 I'm looking at this black friday email i received with the 18 months no interest . to get a Vario I have a big church job that needs to be done before the end of the year. And i can get this machine up and down the steps a lot easier then the cimex i'm sure. Why you ask?? One "short" example. I stand 5'6 & 1/2 in my high heels. I weigh in about 233lb & I'm 70+ Y.O. I still take my "Big Yella" up FOUR (4) flights of stairs regularly. By all means, get the Vario, but also get the BIG WHEEL kit as well. It really makes life so much easier even when using it. I remember when I used to suffer using the small, stock standard hard wheels that came with BIG YELLA. End of story. RE: cimex or orbot - encapman - 11-26-2015 Yes Ades, the Vario is lighter and a little easier to transport than the Cimex. It is also a dream to work with. Is that too descriptive "a dream"? I don't think so. It is smooth, light, and easy. Another nice feature is that the carpet's are dry so fast. Plus it cleans with 2 methods at the same time = Encapsulation + Absorption (with bonnets). Pair the Vario with 21" Microbeast bonnets and it's a force to be reckoned with. I think you'll love it if you decide to get one! |
