Hi Guys, need some help out there.
Going to a lady who has 1 loungeroom with lots of milk stains spilled from a babys bottle. (been there for six months or more).
She actually tried to clean up the milk by scrubbing it into the carpet with a scrubber you use for washing the dishes with.
It looks as though it has changed the colour of the carpet which is brown.
What do I use to treat these stains?

That's kind of weird. It should have come up without too much trouble. But a strong solution of Encap-HydrOx is what I'd recommend. Mix a spray bottle at 4 oz per qt. Spray the spot, let it dwell, agitate the spot, blot the spot. Repeat as necessary until the spot disappears. Then clean like the carpet normal with either Encap or HWE.

Shane, be aware that although it cleaned up well, after it dries it may well wick back again to the brown.
This, I would say is Cellulosic Browning caused by the jute backing.
If it returns, you need to apply a solution of Hydrogen peroxide as we can't get Encap-Hydrox in Australia.
Out of curiosity, what is the carpet fibre??
Generally, poly's will clean up reasonable well with HWE.
Wool & nylon can be a bit more difficult.
With wool, go light on the H2O2, & beware of fuzzing if using a rotary.
