Just started a new business website need opinions - Brownieboy - 06-29-2016 Hey guys I just launched a new website and I want to see what you guys think.
Heres the website: http://www.sanfordflcarpetcleaning.com/ RE: Just started a new business website need opinions - encapman - 06-30-2016 The photos on the About Us page are an unusual mix. And the picture of the girl on the Contact Us page doesn't add anything useful either. The pictures on the home page are great. Kids and animals are good sellers. I also think the site is too white overall. A little more color would help it stand out. I personally like a less cluttered light colored look, but this is kind of sleepy looking. Overall the site is not bad. It's a "responsive" site, so that's a good thing. With a little bit more tweaking I think you'll have something nice there. Keep at it. RE: Just started a new business website need opinions - Lounge Lizards - 06-30-2016 Some CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, to help you with your site. Please get someone to proof read your site for grammar. Don't mix upper & lower case in your sentences such as : "The commitment We Provide for our customers" When talking about particular items, the above may be an exception. I see several things which I don't like. For instance, Sandford, in many cases is spelled with a lower case, ie; sandford. I would NOT refer to other companies by name, knowing how litigious companies in the U.S. can be, ie; stanley steemer. Check also the spelling, ie; Odour, I believe you are in the U.S. where this is spelled odor?? In your "Services", Odour is listed twice. One noticeable sentence I picked up on, is this: "Are you ready for your carpets to be as clean as the day they came out of the factory?" I don't care, who is cleaning or what they are using, due to wear, etc; this quote can NEVER become real, especially when you get a trashed carpet & they want new for nothing. You may end up in court because you did not get those carpets looking like the day they came out of the factory. Pouring baking soda in your vacuum bag can reduce odor, not if people use a Dysoon (deliberate), or Shark, or any of those machines that don't use bags. I believe that baking soda can also block the fine particle holes in the vac; bags, or even expel it back into the air. A few instances to check:
I don't like to tell people to treat problems, but to contact me. As I said at the beginning, this is only CONSTRUCTIVE, I hope you take it as such & have these attended to to make your site all the more better for you. I wish you all the best with your new website and hope to see more of you on here. RE: Just started a new business website need opinions - Joel Hoppe - 07-01-2016 Add some videos. A free youtube account videos from your phone load into your computer-----load on youtube---put on website-----rank higher on google hoppecarpet RE: Just started a new business website need opinions - Copywriter - 07-01-2016 The main navigation is odd. In particular, the "Privacy" page is one I haven't seen before, certainly not as a main option. Most websites start out with 4 core pages and branch out from there. - Home - Services (with sub-pages for each one, such as residential, commercial, tile&grout, upholstery, pet odor removal, etc.) - About Us - Contact Us Other pages some cleaners will add are: - Testimonials - Gallery (showcase some awesome before/after shots of your work) - Coupons/Promotions - Blog This sort of "standard" navigation makes it easy for your customers to find the information they need. They're already accustomed to this navigation on other sites, and you want yours to be as user-friendly as possible. I second the suggestion to have someone proof your copy. A friend or family member with a keen eye and decent knowledge of proper grammar/punctuation will go a long way to punch things up. RE: Just started a new business website need opinions - Brownieboy - 07-04-2016 Thanks for the help guys a lot of great opinions for my website ill get to work on making it better. RE: Just started a new business website need opinions - AllissonWright - 07-05-2016 I would probably add some colour to it. It's extremely difficult to make a difference between the different parts of the website when absolutely everything is white. I would also maybe add separate pages for all the services - carpet, tiles, office carpets etc. This way your home page won't be that long and it would be easier for clients to see what services do you provide from your services menu. The pictures are also cool, but I would put them either closer to the beginning of the page or at the bottom, but not like that on the side. I would also add some videos from your work or video reviews. The booking form is also a little too long and the white background doesn't make it look better. I would try a simple and compact design and the whole form would be in a different, eye-catching colour. Otherwise it looks great, you just need to work on the details to make it look better. RE: Just started a new business website need opinions - Brownieboy - 07-09-2016 Thanks for all the suggestions for my website guys! Ill work on changing things up to make sure that it looks great to the customers instead of just looking great on google RE: Just started a new business website need opinions - bonedrycarpet - 08-16-2016 Seo!
