35 year old sculptured nylon with spill stains. Came out great today with 10 oz / gal Hydrox.
This was an old friends parents house that has been rented out for a few years and trashed. My friend was mortified to see the condition it's in now as the renters move out. His late mother always kept an immaculate home. This time it was "personal". glad I could clean it up for her sake.

Looks good Mike. Nice job!

Thanks Mike, Iphone pics don't ever do justice...forgot my good camera.
It amazes me the disregard some people have for the property they are renting.

Great job!

Nice job Mike!

It's amazing to see that OLD carpet still going strong.
Makes me want to jump into an AMC Matador and hit the town.

Why? Is your Gremlin in the shop? Smile

BTW, awesome job bringing that back to life Mike!

Thanks guys. That was some thick (expensive) old carpet! Back when green or beige sculptured was in every home. I think it was mandatory and came with a copy of "Frampton comes alive"
Rick, a Matador eh? My friend had a purple Gremlin w/ special edition Levi denim seats. Little red tags and all.
AMC is pretty much the blooper reel of American Auto industry's life story.
Jmo.

I think the Matador was about the ugliest car ever made. Hope I havent offended too many folks!

RE: Hydrox success! - encapman - 07-13-2013

My first car was a well worn 1969 Pontiac Tempest.
Traded that for an old Audi. Ceased the engine.
Then I bought an old Matador.
After the Matador I got an old Falcon.

Went through a few beaters in my teens and early twenties.
Yep, the Matador was ugly!

I can just see it. "Encapman" painted on the driver's door.

Nah, this is the model that I had...

Still ugly nonetheless.

Here's what my very first motorized vehicle looked like.
Bought a Honda SL90 when I was 12 with paper route money.
