Chemical storage - cleanclub77 - 08-25-2013 I currently store my encap chemicals in my garage on shelves.(hot in summer & cold in winter) Would the hot and cold temps affect the chemicals in any way? Would storing them in another part of the house be better for storage? RE: Chemical storage - encapman - 08-25-2013 Releasit products are stable being stored in a wide range of environmental conditions. It's not a bad idea to avoid extreme temperatures, but we haven't seen degradation in HIGH heat, and they're stable through multiple freeze/thaw cycles. So there shouldn't be a problem either way. Yet if you're concerned, there's nothing wrong with trying to keep your chems cozy. The only product that's especially sensitive to heat and light is Encap-HydrOx. Light is the main concern. But if you can store Encap-HydrOx in a cool and dark location it'll help the hydrogen peroxide to retain its kick. RE: Chemical storage - cammo54 - 08-26-2013 I store my chemicals in an old non-working refrigerator in my garden shed. Even on the hottest days it's amazing how cool they all keep because of the insulation. Rob RE: Chemical storage - Hoss - 08-26-2013 Brilliant! That is a great use for an old refrigerator. |
