Dried on encap solution - rlord - 11-03-2013

I posted a while ago about doing some UPH and the seat cushions were vinyl and the arms were wood. The UPH was real tight so when we scrubbed with the drill driver some of the solution got on the vinyl and wood. My helper wiped it off but missed some Well when we went back a couple of weeks later it had dried on and wouldn't come off. we tried damp cloth and magic eraser. Nothing.
So yesterday I went in to do some work and was determined to get it off.
1. Squirted water on it let it dwell, scrubbed and wiped disappeared but when it dried the spots came right back.
2, Tried acetone and then paint thinner same process same result.
3. Remembered a fellow cleaner telling my about WD40 getting up all kinds of stuff, sprayed some on rubbed it in lightly with my hand and a few suds appeared wiped, dried gone!
Phew getting a little worried. Thought this might help if you ever run into this problem.
Wish I had taken pics.

That is incredibly weird. But thanks for sharing that little tip.
I'm happy to hear that you got it resolved.

I have also had success using a blue non scratch pad. It seems solutions seem to stick to certain plastics. The plastic on my shampoo tank is one. I gently use the blue pad and it works for me. I will try WD-40. That stuff is magic!
