New to business - normantos21 - 01-29-2014 Hi to all.. Just want to say hello to all.. and wanna know a few things about carpet cleaning and other things to get started.. Hope i'll get the best help and ideas..thanks RE: New to business - jtmellon - 01-29-2014 There is a lot of info here. The best thing you can do is: Start reading and ask some questions. We are all here to help, well I'm just here for the beer and pizza. But the others are here to help. Except Shorty, don't trust him. LOL RE: New to business - Shorty - 01-30-2014 There is a lot of info here. The best thing you can do is: Start reading and ask some questions. I'm here strictly for the beer, wine, scotch, rum & laffs. Seriously though, ask any questions you can think of, even the silly ones because I've asked most of those that JT was to embarrassed to ask. Some may tell you to go to the search function, whilst others will tell you straight out what they think. Anyhow cobber, welcome to the forum, I hope your stay (like your business), is a long and prosperous one. Short 1 RE: New to business - NJP - 01-30-2014 Wow, are you learning anything yet? Yep some guys here are a little off. LOL RE: New to business - Hoss - 01-30-2014 This dictionary can help with some of the postings from down under: http://www.koalanet.com.au/australian-slang.html Those of you down-under and elsewhere might find this one useful: http://onlineslangdictionary.com/ RE: New to business - encapman - 01-30-2014 My favorite Ozzie expression is "Brekkie". Nancy and I first heard that a few years back when we were in Australia for the big carpet cleaning expo. We thought it was a cool expression and we still use it till this day. For the rest of you guys in the northern hemisphere - Brekkie means breakfast. Start calling it Brekkie for a few days and you just may just find that it sticks. RE: New to business - Shorty - 01-31-2014 Rick, funny you should mention that. I'm trying to have Fridays off, today, this was brekki at Tosca's in Cairns Central this morning (Friday). Plus a double hit mugaccino, (cappuccino in a mug, with a double hit of coffee). Anyhow, it's going to be hard next week, have to go back to Lizard Island for anothe five days, minimum. Short 1 RE: New to business - jtmellon - 01-31-2014 Who the ***** has a salad with breakfast? Wow, what's next beans on toast or bangers and mash? RE: New to business - Shorty - 01-31-2014 Us healthy people. Absolutely beautiful, you should try it. Short 1 |
