I have been looking at getting a set of diamond blades for my cimex;since i have a few clients that want their epoxy removed from their floors due to age and damage. I noticed there is blue and yellow diamond blades as well as 28,18,and 12 segment types. Your description for all of them is almost the same. What is the difference between the 2 colors and the number of segments?

The difference between the Yellow and Blue diamonds is that the Yellow diamonds are really more for smoothing and they are less aggressive. The most common coating removal diamond to use is the 28 segment Blue20Hd or the 480000 Carbide scraper. Also As a rule with diamonds, the less segments, the more aggressively they will cut the floor.
The blue diamond segments have 30-40 grit and they will last roughly 20,000 to 40,000 sq ft depending on the surface and the amount of weights on the machine.
