Filthy, oily carpet
#1
I have a customer with dark blue polyester carpet that's in bad shape and in of cleaning. It has oil, tar and all kinds of spots on it. Can someone tell me what would be the best way to tackle this job using  encap products. I have a cimex machine and hot water extractor. Thanks in advance.

Heavy mix of Punch and DS in your Cimex.
HWE where necessary.
Pad dry if possible with a blue MicroBeast

If it's absolutely plugged full of soil (and it sounds like it is), you may find that the best way to go will be to perform a good HWE extraction first. Unload as much of the crud from the carpet as you can first. Understand that the carpet will likely wick terribly following the HWE cleaning, so be prepared to go back and perform a thorough post-encap cleaning. You'll need to return a day or so later to encap the carpet after it's had a chance to wick. This 2 step approach works really well on super soil laden carpets like the one you're describing. The HWE cleaning helps to lower the load of soil in the carpet, and the post-encap cleaning brings the inevitable wicking under control and leaves the carpet looking good.
