I have seen both black, silver, red and white Oreck orbiters. One called xl. Can anyone tell me the difference between these machines. Is it weight, speed, size? I am about to aquire one of these machines and would like to know what one to go for.
Thanks

I have the Oreck xl. It's silver and it was at the time I bought it Oreck said it was the commercial version. That was back quite a few years ago. By the way it still works great! JMO!

What size of bonnets does it take and what does the xl mean? is it easy enough to use it on stairs?

Normally a 12" bonnet can be used on the Oreck Orbiter. Some folks willalso use a 15" bonnet, even though it's considerably larger than needed.

I only use the 12" bonnets.
XL is an acronym for XL ent.
At 71+, I find it very easy to use on stairs.
