Pad capping?
#2
Both work extremely well. I always recommend Encap-Punch for bonnet/pad cleaning. Encap-Punch foams a bit less (which is good for bonnet cleaning) and it contains additional solvents. But Encap-Clean DS2 also works extremely well in a bonnet cleaning application! We have MANY people using Encap-Clean DS2 for bonnet/pad cleaning with excellent results.

An OP or a rotary machine will work better for pad-capping because these machines have larger bonnets which can capture soil more efficiently. The Cimex is amazing at scrubbing!!! But it's not the absolute best choice for bonnet cleaning. Doing a little bit of post-bonnet work with the Cimex does work well though... For example, if you had a trashed carpet that you've just cleaned with the Cimex and there was a section that still looks a little drab after you've finished cleaning - go ahead and hit it with bonnets. I've seen excellent results doing a quick post-bonnet cleaning with the Cimex to finish off a problem area. But as a stand alone bonnet cleaning machine, the Cimex is not going to do as well as a machine that has a larger bonnet.

We have a couple of bonnet options for the 19" Cimex...
