Regarding encapping steps. There are a few options. An Oreck Orbiter is one approach. The 10" TM3 BrushEncap is another option. By far the simplest option is to use a Drill Driver.
With the Drill Driver you can spray the step with Releasit and then scrub each step and its bullnose with the Drill Driver. Have a look...
