Each component in the cleaning pie is essential. In the case of encap methods the "A" slice is normally greater than the other slices. Yet even though agitation may be the predominant piece, temperature, chemical, and time, all still factor into the equation.

What I like to do with heavily soiled carpets is to do a quick pre-scrub in the soiled areas first. Then I'll scrub the cleanest areas, saving the pre-scrubbed areas for last. Then as I work back across the carpet, the pre-scrubbed areas receive a final scrub. This technique produces excellent results.
