The 4 washers are to add to the handle-stop as spacers (as needed) for taller operators. It'd be confusing to describe it here. Tell ya what, give Rod or Brian a call at the office and they'll give you a quick explanation.

Glad to hear that you're enjoying the VARIO! It is a neat set up isn't it.
