Calculating total man hours is a different concept than calculating job time (start to finish time). I will tell a customer that I can complete the job in three hours, but if I have a two man crew, that is six man hours. The customer doesn't care about my man hours. They care only about when I start and when I stop.
So, 3 guys for 3 hours to complete the job is 9 man hours. Or, 3 guys completing the entire job in one hour is 3 man hours. Somewhere in between 3 man hours and 9 man hours might be a good number for 9,000 SF, depending on the physical layout.
