I have a 8 gallon portable as well as a 3 gallon portable spotter. at the least, having the spotter is handy because some things need some extraction. for example, one of my customers had a place in front of the washing machine where they had spilled detergent and it was attracting dirt. extracting it was best to make sure I got it out. also, on occasion I've had to use something heavier to get out deep urine stains and odor and the heavy stuff requires extraction.
