new to the board!

Hi everyone, my name is Kelly Mickley and I am Dave Rampage's daughter. I joined the board because I am working on marketing in our business so I am starting to learn what marketing is all about. My dad told me that this would be a good board for me to follow to see what other carpet cleaners are saying and doing. I am asking for any advice in getting started or even just throwing ideas/things you've personally done with your comany's marketing. Thanks!

Hi Kelly & welcome.

My advice would be to:

(1) Purchase the CMS DVD from Excellent-supply, (if your Dad does not already have it).

(2) Attend the Strategies For Success course with Jon-Don, a five day course.


There are other very good systems also available, but to me, these are the creme de la creme. (Plus I've not invested in the others).


Be very wary of some that promise the earth, and keep teasing you with more and better things if you just attend one more course with them. ;-)

Thanks Cainrswun, I have already downloaded the CMS DVD onto my laptop and started to go over it with my dad & I will look into the coarse that Jon-Don offers

Also, thank you Rick, I'll visit the original forum as well. I'm excited to see what others have to say so I can get started on the right track. Marketing is a critical factor if we want the business the grow and it may be a big responsibility but I'm ready! (:
