My cimex just started slowing down & it was blowing the breakers at a house today. The only way it will work at all is not put any weight on the pads. Can this be fixxed or do I need a new one? Any help would be great. Thanks, Harold

Could just be the brushes, if they haven't messed up the armature. Is there a electric motor repair shop close to you?

Belt slippage will cause the drivers to slow down. If its belt realted, thats normal wear over the course of time.
However if it's blowing breakers, it sounds more like a motor related issue. As Ades mentioned, you may want to get it into a motor repair shop. There are normally motor repair shops situated in most towns and they're generally capable of handling any kind of repair on the machine.
BTW how old is the Cimex?
