When did you buy your 1st Cimex?
#1
i think a few people who still post here have me beat.

bought my 1st Cimex from Rick. I had to check email records for the exact date: 5-5-2004 is when Rick sent me the Estes tracking #.

i have a spare Cimex in the van at all times for a backup. i bought it used. i really need to sell the original off and buy a new backup from Rick. from then on i should buy a new one every 3-4 years to keep them looking presentable to clients, and sell the old one on Craigslist. the only problem with that is, i hate for other local CC'ers to own them Blush seriously lol.

so on what date did you buy your 1st Cimex?

Derek,

I think you have me beat. I am thinking my first one was in 2005 maybe 2004. I read an article by Rick in a trade magazine and called him up. Over the course of the next week or so I called Rick many times and finally he said he would ship it to me for a 7 day trial. If I didn't like it, then I could return it. I would just have to pay for the chemical and the pads. Sounded like a good deal to me. Then when I got it, about half way through the first job, I knew it was mine. Now I have two. You can usually see us using them on our rug cleaning webcam on our website.

Became a Dist. for Cimex in the '90s after being introduced to them by Ed York. Have owned every machine they made including their escalator cleaning machine. I am no longer a Dist. and my friend Rick does an "excellent " job.

Inherited mine from my dad who got it back in 1984. I do need to buy the newer one for back up.

My memory doesn't go back far enough.

Not that I bought mine a long time ago, it just that my memory has bad back-up. Blush

Must only be about nine years ago though.

Idea Rick should remember, it was the 2nd last Connections at The Riviera. Big Grin

Or maybe the third last. Huh Blush

Sad

I bought my first one 8 or nine yrs ago . Bought a second used one. A couple years ago. Just sold the original a couple months ago. As I had seen several barely used ones on Craigslist. Called them ....sold already. Will be getting another one soon..

I got my first Cimex, a 15 incher, in 1994 or 5. It was 1 1/2 years old. I still use it when two machines are needed.
