The motor cover has gone the way of the Dodo bird. And it has nothing to do with motors running hot or anything like that.

Cimex USA has started using Leeson motors. Leeson has an excellent reputation for building exceptional industrial motors. The new motors are taller than the older motors were. So they had no option but to lose the plastic cover. I personally don't mind the new look. Especially since the new look enables the machines to now come with Leeson motors.

Thanks Encapman!

I actually Love the way My new Cimex look. I want only to display it for good looks on the job site. If the big wheels ain't turnin' I ain't making no money though. So I installed the big boy wheel kit, Kodiac cord, too.Smile It arrived just in time for me to test the productivity on a 6000 s.f. job next weekend. Verses my previous Cimex productivity.
(9) 100s.f. offices are included with this job.

I was just kidding about the Cimex running hot. But the only thing I'm afraid of is that I get kinda clumsy sometimes when filling the tank with bucket /water. That hood saved me a few times. I'll probably use my newly upgraded Penguin Sprayer with its new 80PSI PUMP. Penguin Manufacturer has Excellent Customer service as well to top of the best sprayer (IMO) that Excellent Supply sales.

Thanks Brenda, Rod, Tinoa. For all your top notch service.

Personally, I'd NEVER use a sprayer of any sort if at all I could avoid it.

The shower feed on the Cimex is by far the best method of solution application as far as I'm concerned.

Less airborne particulates for you or the people around where you are working to swallow.

Whenever I think about swallowing chemicals, I think James Hardie, Asbestosis, Malignant Mesothelioma..................

I know, it's drastic and just maybe a bit over the top. but you never know what airborne pollutants can do to anyone's health, until it's too late.

Shorty.

they do run hot , i took the cover off of mine about a year ago. I was having trouble when i stopped and went to turn it back on it would be locked up. Haven't had that problem since i took the cover off. plus now i get a breeze of air every so often from the fan.

Shorty, IN THE PAST i WOULD FILL MY SOLUTION TANK WITH A BUCKET AS MANY DO. However I get clumsy sometimes and splash water on the top of the motor hood. Because the hood was there it save my cimex from get water down in the motor.

So as I did before I will use my 5 gallon Penguin to fill the tank of my new Cimex while vacuuming & prepping. Just to be on the safe side, As my new Cimex has no Hood on the motor. I have a renewed zeal for commercial carpet maintenance
