FiberPlus MAX on ceramic tile
#1
I have a job coming up that is a combo of ceramic tile and residential carpeting with several transitions. I have the Hos Tile and Grout Brush, but I am wondering if I can simply use the FiberPlus Max gray pads with the weight kit rather than having to change out the plate. I'm using Sprayborg with microbeast and superzorb bonnets for the carpeting. That way, I could save some time and simply do the velcro switch from fiber to bonnet.

Has anyone used FiberPlus on ceramic tile with good results? Is it aggressive enough? I will test it before I do it, but I think the workflow process would be expedited by being able to make those transitions quickly.

I actually just tried that on a janitorial job as a "wonder what happens" moment. I used Greased Lightning with a Max type pad. It cleaned up pretty good, but not well enough that I would have charged someone for that result. I didn't let it dwell that long though.

I haven't tried it but I would imagine one factor that would determine your outcome is how deeply recessed your grout joints are. If the joints (or areas of them) sit too low below the surface of the tile, your pads won't make contact for agitation.

Best thing I can think of is to try an area and consider it research & development. Maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised.
