Diluted DS Shelf Life
#1
A question for Rick. Please forgive if this is repeat question;

Once Releasit DS is in its diluted form (i.e leftover, or pre-prepared "demo" containers) should it be used within a specific time frame? will its effectiveness reduce over time?

Or will it remain as effective as the day it was bottled?

Thanks,
Ned.

If it's left in the machines tank - exposed to air, it will lose some of it's strength in a couple of days. This is the natural effect of bio-degradation that all diluted detergents encounter when exposed to air. (Mix up a sink of water and dish soap, check it it the next morning, and you'll notice that it's not as foamy).

Here are a couple of options:
1. First try to run the tank as low as possible toward the end of the job.
2. If you'll be doing another job within the next couple of days, just add fresh solution to the tank and it'll recharge the few ounces that may be left in the tank, with no affect on the cleaning power.
3. Or you could store your diluted detergent in a sealed container and you'll have much longer shelf life.

If you're not planning to do another job in the next couple of days, go ahead and drain the tank and flush some fresh water through the system.
