Concrete buffing - CleanItGreen - 08-01-2015 I did a job for a client that has some concrete that is scuffed up. Anyone buffing concrete with their cimex? RE: Concrete buffing - encapman - 08-01-2015 The standard Cimex CR48 is a bit light for concrete grinding/polishing. You'd need to add weights to the CR48 to start to get results. Better yet, the CR48DF would be a more suitable option. The DF "Diamond Finisher" is heavier, you can add additional weights as well, it spins at 880 rpm as opposed to 400 rpm, and from top to bottom it's intended for GRINDING. My brother Dave 1800MarbleGuy.com has been running a couple of these for several years with excellent results! RE: Concrete buffing - CleanItGreen - 08-11-2015 Thanks rick. Wasn't looking to grind, just buff the scuffs. RE: Concrete buffing - encapman - 08-12-2015 We have the DiamondPlus pads for the Cimex that are great for what you're considering. http://www.excellent-supply.com/8-inch-Diamond-Plus-Pads-Floor-Care-Floor-Cleaning-Fits-19-inch-Cimex_p_226.html It still will be helpful if you can add a little bit of weight to the head of the machine. |
