i've heard that the newer model Orbot (must be in the last several years??) has a different/better counter-balance than the older model. from the pic's, can anyone tell me if my Orbot is the older model with the old counter balance?
finally: does anyone else's bottom-half of their water pump scrape the top of the motor case? the are a few scrapes / gouges on top of the motor case, also it tore the power cord right out of the motor as you can see, it still runs fine though. this happened in '08 when i bought it within the first 3 uses, i just never did or said anything about it because i don't use it often enough...but i should have of course. back then the Orbot was new and going through "growing pains" i realize...as most new machines today do with little R&D.
are there any fixes for the scraping issue? it happens when you try to put the Orbot in the upright position. or when you try to flip the head all the way back to remove the pad. for years now i just flip the head back on a 45 degree angle to pull the pad off.
tx for any ideas!
