Hi Rick,

Any good sales right now? I have been using vacaway for a year now and have spent about 5000 to 7000 dollars or so on chems. I use encap green, spot and boost, and grease hog. What would be comparable in your line up? I know yours have changed recently and the smell is even better. Any advice would be great. Also, don't you have some some great sales? Like buy one get one, etc?

Respectfully,
Jeff

HOS Orbot Replacement Jets - Question
Posted by: Greg Allen - 10-01-2016, 01:55 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

I need to change from 06 jets to 04 on my gently used but new (to me) Hos Orbot. It is going through WAAAYYY too much chemical. Unfortunately, I don't know which 04 to order. Someone simply suggested I go from "06 to 04" jets, but I don't know if it is a teejet, veejet, etc. I've just never had to address modifying wands, or an other jet-supplied tool. Can someone provide specifically the jets I would order from Interlink or Excellent-Supply, etc.?

What is the Best portable carpet extractor to buy?
Posted by: Wordman72 - 09-29-2016, 03:13 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (6)

Hi, I have an account with 10 buildings and wanted to know what is currently a really good, reliable portable carpet extractor that I could use to clean the carpets. One of the buildings use the glued down commercial carpet squares. I am curently using a cimex machine but would like to add a portable. I am thinking about a 2 stage motor with the one plug and would like the machine to be able to heat the water as well. And if I can, I would like the machine to have enough power to help with cleaning tile and grout. If someone could point me in the right direction with a brand of machine or certain model that would be great. Also any information on what would be a great cleaning wand would be nice. Thank you for all your time and consideration in helping me make an informed choice.

  Gecko Upholstery Machine
Posted by: Charles - 09-28-2016, 02:37 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

Ordered this machine around 4pm on Monday Sept 19th.  Delivered by Fed Ex next day. Put it to work and made some money cleaning furniture that Friday. Machine works great. Rick and his staff did a great job setting up a quick delivery.  Will try to post a few pics of a sofa sleeper I purchased at a consignment shop. Cleaned it today with the Gecko. Also will be hooking up with the owner of the shop to clean furniture for him.  Lots of upholstery in there.

  Pricing - Square Footage
Posted by: jsjanitorial - 09-27-2016, 09:47 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

Hi all,

Just curious how others calculate something like this. I have a retail shoe store that's 6000 sq ft carpeted area. I'd say around 40% is the racks of shoes. Lots of aisles to go up and down.

For a business like this, do you calculate it on 6000 or more like 3600 sq ft? I know ballpark for something like this is around 10c + per sq ft... but I'm not sure if others price on the total square footage or the cleanable square footage. I priced at $450 and wondering if I'm high or low or right on point. Using Cimex.

Water Marks in carpet after encapping?
Posted by: cookiemonster - 09-27-2016, 06:00 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (15)

I have recently encapped some carpets for a customer and they have called me to say that the carpets now have water marks on them as a result of me cleaning them. Can anyone advise me on how this could have happened and what the best method to get rid of them is. Am I better to go and fix it with hwe or should I encap it with another type of encap product. thanks

Rotary with shower fed for encapping
Posted by: Eddie Rhone - 09-26-2016, 03:21 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (5)

Hi Everyone

Don't do a lot of encapping at the moment but using a rotary with a pad after first spraying encap on the carpet by a pump up sprayer and following up with a bonett we have achieved some very good results.

However have been offered the chance to quote on a much larger job than usual, and looking to increase production, so thought about mounting a tank on my rotary and using it to shower feed onto the pad so save time. Does anyone do this and if so can you give me any tips.

Regards
Eddie

Is punch more a film former and that is why it is  great for bonnet carpet cleaning?
I know releasit dries into a shatter polymer for straight encapping.
