  Hospital 2nd floor
Posted by: leofry@1966 - 09-08-2016, 05:07 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (2)

well i have a decision to make, buy about $600 more of vacuum and solution hose or enap with the cimex. I feel sure what you guys will say and i kinda need to hear it.
I use to encap quite a bit but got away from it the last year or so. biggest reason was people questioned it a lot i always thought it did great.

so should i encap it ?

  Anyone taken home hitchhiker roaches?
Posted by: Papa Bear - 09-05-2016, 03:08 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

My tech said he had found some roaches in the same garage he stores a Cimex machine, CRB machine and a Host machine.  He has never had roaches before, and is convinced he brought them home unknowingly from a job that must have had them.  He did not see any at any of his recent jobs. His exterminator told him that they like to "hitch hike" which I agree with, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has either heard of this? or had this happen to them?  I appreciate any input.

  Old man working easier
Posted by: Lounge Lizards - 08-26-2016, 05:03 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (6)

Among other work today, I had to go to our local race track & clean a couple of areas prior to the races tomorrow.

Both of the areas are open to the elements & vacuuming can be a real pain due to leaves & other rubbish being blown in all the time.

The carpet itself is a horror, direct stick indoor/outdoor carpet which has many areas where the glue has detached from the concrete, both at seams and also throughout the carpet, which is a heavily ribbed carpet.

Anyhow, back to the crux about making it easier.

This job totaled around 750 square metres, (about 8,072.9328125323 square feet) which is not overly big, but can be tiresome on your trigger hand after a few hours.

Many complain of carpal tunnel syndrome, of which, I am lucky having never experienced it.

To make my life easier, rather than holding the trigger release on for a long period of time, I simply removed my 1.5" cuff from my upholstery tool and placed it over the trigger.

I simply remove it at the end of a long run, then replace again when needed.

It may not look crash-hot, but I don't care, it saves this old fella. Tongue

Now, to try & post a pic because my photobucket is playing up worse than my ex; Blush

Dang, can't post a pic, but you guys are clever, so use your imagination. Big Grin

Cool

PS:: It's now 07:00 Saturday morning, tried to do this last night but the footy started. Rolleyes

PPS:: I'll post a pic on the Facebook for Carpet Cleaners.

  Forum Suggestion
Posted by: jsjanitorial - 08-26-2016, 12:25 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (3)

Hi Rick - had an idea this weekend for a new forum on the board I wanted to share. Would be great to have a dedicated area to find machine/job troubleshooting. I was having some issue with my Cimex this weekend on a job and it's really hard to search and find old threads around troubleshooting when you are right in the middle of a job. Would be great to have them easy to find in one place for when you are on the job and need quick help Smile
Some troubleshooting/how to videos would be GREAT too.

  Outside storage for CC equipment
Posted by: Kron1 - 08-25-2016, 10:04 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (3)

Would storing CC machines and detergents in an outside storage be a bad idea? I have an opportunity to use a 10 x10 outside storage for free my concerns are with this Texas weather, extreme hot and extreme cold.

  Vario Pro Model Jets Leaking
Posted by: randyg6224 - 08-23-2016, 08:08 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (3)

Both jets on my Vario machine continue to leak after spraying, almost a small drizzle.  I've replaced the jets with new ones with no change.  Anyone else having this issue?  Thanks for responding.

  Pump bracket on Vario
Posted by: Ades Gros - 08-23-2016, 05:45 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

So i have noticing that when i let the handle down it wasn't going all the way down. So i looked and saw it was hitting the pump bracket i raised it a little and let it go and it fell down again. I looked some more and saw the bracket was broken. I had a older pump that i used to use when i had a fresh water tank in the cube van. It was much thicker then this one.

Has anyone used Hydrox to clean tile and grout? If so, what have your results been? What mix and coverage?
