  Best CRB machine
Posted by: KC-Chris - 12-13-2016, 03:39 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

I am new to the biz. Using the HOS Orbot for now and thinking about adding a CRB machine. Which CRB do you recommend? I've seen several out there and it seems like the prices are all over the board. Are they the same machine that have been private labeled or do they all run a little different? Thoughts, suggestions and recommendations please and thank you.

  DS 2 Scent?
Posted by: cookiemonster - 12-11-2016, 05:02 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (14)

I have just accuired some ds2 and having used it for the first time I cant say I am impressed with the way it smells. I thought it was supposed to have a citrus smell but I can barley smell anything compared to other encap products that have a deodoriser. Is there a reason for this?

  Best way to treat browing?
Posted by: cookiemonster - 12-08-2016, 03:54 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (3)

Can anyone tell me what is the best way to treat browning in carpets. Should the carpet be sprayed with an acidic encap then hot water extracted or bonneted or just left to dry?

Also as hydrox is not recommended for wool carpets how do I go about treating wool carpets for browning?

thanks

how much per sq ft can you get ?
how much to get set up with disc and anything else you may need ?
how long does it take to do say 1000 sq ft
whats the learning curve ?
how easy is it to screw up ?

Cimex solution does not feed to pads
Posted by: Kron1 - 12-08-2016, 06:56 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

The machine was working fine, after refilling the solution tank, I noticed the solution was not feeding through the tube.

I squeezed the solution lever and opened the tube cut off in the back to make sure the line was not pinched.

I'm not sure if the problem is from the tank are the sprayer above the pads.

Has anyone every had this problem?

I would like to learn how to fix small problems like this myself.

Are there any resources online with maintenance tips for the Cimex?

What can DS2 and Hydrox do?
Posted by: cookiemonster - 11-30-2016, 05:35 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (6)

I have just received my first order of ds2 and hydrox. I have some questions.

1. Is the performance of these solutions affected by being exposed to the cold. I keep my solutions in my van overnight and it is getting very cold now?

2. What can I clean with these solutions and what not. Do they do upholstery with out colour bleed or risk of browning?

3. Can they be used as a spotter and can they be used with hwe cleaning as a prespray before being extracted?

4. If they can be used as a spotter will they remove urine and vomit or any sort of dye based stains?

Thanks

  TM3 Crb Machines
Posted by: cookiemonster - 11-30-2016, 05:26 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (15)

I have been considering buying one of the Austrian made CRB TM3 machines for encapping small areas on residential carpet as a more portable alternative to lifting my heavy rotary up stairs.

Could anyone tell me if the small tm3 machines are suitable for encapping or are they only suitable to be used as a prespray agitation machine or for using with dry compound.

A supplier of this machine thought that it was only suitable for using with dry compound and it is only larger crb machines that are suitable for cleaning with any level of moisture involved.

Could some one please confirm if one of these machines is suitable for encapping and will the results be as good as using a bonnet.

Thanks

  Hydrox Uph/foam
Posted by: mark63 - 11-29-2016, 10:00 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

I cleaned a couch last night with Hydrox 8in microfiber bonnet and a polishing tool. I was not seeing any foam as I was cleaning but I did not want to overwet the fabric. I was wondering if I should have sprayed enough solution to see foam as I was cleaning? ps-I used 10 oz per gl.
