  Orbot Vibe
Posted by: KC-Chris - 01-17-2017, 02:40 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

What is the difference between the Orbot Vibe and the Orbot Sprayborg other than price? Does the Vibe do something the Sprayborg cannot or vice versa? Thanks!

  Hydrox self-life
Posted by: mark63 - 01-14-2017, 12:05 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

I have about 20oz of Hydrox that's been left in it's container for about 6 months. I have 1 small area rug to do Monday with some urin
. I was wondering if it keeps it's potency or is it like a soda that goes flat when there is just a little left at the bottom of the can?

Lavender oil and milk spot on wool carpet...
Posted by: Bernd - 01-09-2017, 04:28 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (17)

Today a customer called me with some lavender oil and milk spots on a light wool carpet. I know i can use DS2 on wool but will DS2 or Punch handle this spots on a wool carpet...? Furthermore they have some blood spots  Confused . I could solve some blood spots with HydrOx on synthetic carpets with great results...but on wool?

What would you recommend or would it be better to stay away from this challenge?

Last week before Cimex price bump
Posted by: encapman - 12-26-2016, 01:48 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - No Replies

Cimex USA is issuing a price increase for 2017. The price will be increasing $280. We are planning to keep the price as fair as possible going forward. But if you'd like to scoop up a deal and save $280, now's the time.

We have the 19" Cimex package on sale right now for $2495 (with free shipping). Although we're closed today (FedEx doesn't pick up today) - you can call tomorrow if you're interested in grabbing one at the sale price 800-330-1888. Next week they'll be $2775.

P.S. Carpet Cleaner America (our importer for BrushEncap machines) is also issuing a price increase for Febraury. So the price for the TM3, TM4, and TM5 BrushEncap CRB's will also be going up in February. Get 'em while the price is at its lowest.

  Cimex swivel marks
Posted by: mark63 - 12-22-2016, 09:00 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

I did a demo for city hall in my town and they want me to do 8000sf of hallways. I used a cimex and a
couple of the guys mentioned how the swivel marks were still there after the demo a few days later. It is a cut pile commercial cpt, I told them they will go away with routine vacuuming. I was wondering if they will or should I groom the job as I go (a lot of extra work)

Caution: Avoid using Procyon with a CRB
Posted by: encapman - 12-20-2016, 11:11 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (8)

Please don't take this as a negative slant toward a competitive product. Procyon has a good reputation and I know a lot of cleaners enjoy using it. By all means, if you like Procyon - keep using it. But DON'T use it with your CRB machine. Procyon will work great in many applications, but it can damage metal parts - like the innards of a CRB machine.

We've heard of serious damage occurring when contractors use Procyon with their CRB machines. Procyon (and a few similar pre-sprays) contain a lot of salt. Salt is corrosive. Corrosives and metal parts are never a good combination. One of our good customers had the habit of using Procyon as a pre-spray, then he'd brush the carpet with his CRB, and rinse with HWE. He destroyed his 10" CRB with this process. That's why it's urgent to issue this warning.

If you use Procyon and don’t flush your machine at the end of the day, you will eventually damage it as the salt will corrode some of the high carbon steel inside. Our recommendation is to avoid using corrosives altogether.

Using corrosive (salt based) products could void your warranty. Worse yet, you may seriously damage your CRB machine. Here's a couple of pictures showing corrosive damage...

Crb Machines. When should carpets be vaccumed?
Posted by: cookiemonster - 12-14-2016, 03:37 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (9)

I have just started using a crb machine and have found that when cleaning cut pile carpets a lot of dirt, hair and carpet pile is coming up when using my tm3 and I am having to vacuum the carpets up to tidy them up after cleaning. Should vacuuming be done before crb cleaning or after. I don't want to vacuum twice?
