  Need Help!
Posted by: Mcleanz - 02-16-2016, 08:08 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

I am contemplating offering low moisture cleaning to my service business. I have read many threads and and I'm still kind of confused. What pads and cleaners do you recommend for residential And what machine? Any help would be appreciated.

Howdy Encappers!

We just got in our new pens. We'll be sending these out as thank you gifts along with your orders. I just wanted to let you all know that this pen doubles as a stylus for your tablet or smart phone. Some might not realize that it serves a dual function. Enjoy!  Smile

Well after two years I finally receive it by UPS today and I'm surprisingly surprised how durable this machine is made. I gave it a test drive on my living room carpet and I was amazed by the sand it pulled up. I expected fuzz or staple yarn but not the amount of sand. Long wait but worth it! Of course as always customer service was top notch!

Hi Rick,

I can't find the 2016 calendar.  The email you sent out a few weeks ago had the 2015 calendar. I need to get some Hydrox soon. Thanks.

  Upholstery cleaning
Posted by: Captain Morgan - 02-11-2016, 11:51 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

Hello,

How do you clean upholstery using encapsulation scheme or VLM method? I've read about special equipment (Von Schrader) that some swear by and just as many curse it.  I've also read some using small hand held rotary polishers but then they have to make their own pads or bonnets to fit them because they are using a woodworking tool for cleaning upholstery.

Is the best place to go to get equipment for upholstery cleaning is to go to the automotive interior cleaning route? Is this too aggressive for living room upholsteries and finer fabric coverings?  I recall seeing a guy using a big 7 or 10 inch car polisher to clean banquet chairs on YouTube.  It looked like it did tbe job but I couldn't get the picture out of my mind that the guy had just finished washing and waxing a car in the parking lot prior to making his video. LOL I also thought he was going to burn through the material...but that's where my ignorance probably comes into play...

Should I look at mitts, sponges and hand held pads and dry foam upholstery cleaning chems or products?

Thank you to all who respond to help bring me up to speed.
Have a good day

Well I'm a little upset that Rick was about 10 minutes from my house in NY and I didn't get to meet him but I still bought my CRB from him anyway with several other things. Can't wait till it arrives!

  Portable HWE

I'm looking at adding a porty for (1) upholstery cleaning (2) adding a spinner for tile cleaning (3)for residential and the occasional greasy commercial jobs. What features should I be looking for? I have seen quite a few HWE'S for sale on Craigslist. I want to make sure that I get the right one. Thanks

HOS Orbot compared to Vario 2 SS
Posted by: Captain Morgan - 02-09-2016, 03:39 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (13)

How would an Orbit with spray system compare to the Vario Ii SS as far as cleaning ability and speed or efficiency.  Forgive me but I don't know specs as far as rpm's or throw of the orbit on both machines or even weight.

I'm looking at really going after the commercial market and considering picking up some used VLM equipment to start.  Trying to decide if its better to spend a lot more money for a used Orbit or if a Vario will do as good a job or a close second that most people would not notice a difference and put the difference into chems, pads, and marketing until I'm able to afford heavier or more robust OP equipment.

Thank you,
Captain Morgan

Is taking the wheels off the same as the wheel kit for cimex?

Would like to see the difference between the other brand and the differences besides where it's made.
