  Fiber Plus pads
Posted by: Barry-QDCC - 04-15-2016, 01:08 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (2)

I've been meaning to post this observation for a while now.  A couple months back I bought a 10" CRB and while I'm satisfied with the results I get with it I'm even more impressed with the results of using the Fiber Plus pads.  Sometimes I use the CRB, sometimes I use the Fiber Max pad, sometimes I use both, sometimes I use neither.  I'm talking about the agitation step.  I follow up with a loopy cotton pad after agitation.

If I had to give one up -either the CRB or the Fiber Plus pad, I'd give up the CRB.  Each has it the things it excels  in but the pad is more important to me and my work.

Thanks Rick! (for both the pads and the CRB)

  Not Happy
Posted by: joeyjcc - 04-11-2016, 11:17 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (15)

Attached are before pics of a job I did over the weekend.
They said the carpet was about 18 months old and had never been cleaned. They have a maid who comes in weekly to vacuum. I'm guessing they "spot vacuum."
They have 80+ construction workers in & out of the place 5 days a week.

I stopped in this morning to follow up and was not happy. There were several brown spotty areas.

I had a variety of chems I wanted to use up before ordering more.
I battery sprayed Hydrox and used a Lowboy in the offices/cubicals (not pictured) which came out fine.
After I used up the Hydrox, I had another company's fragrance free ultra encap remaining.
Then my sprayer literally died so I had to use a pump sprayer which was painfully weak. So, I pulled out my rotary with tank to finish the main areas pictured.

I offered to "touch up" the spots but they declined.  The customer said it looks great compared to before and was satisfied.

Any suggestions or comments on what I could've should've would've?

  olefin plush carpet
Posted by: mark63 - 04-05-2016, 07:11 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (2)

I have to clean a olefin plush carpet that is pretty dirty, I have hydrox/punch and ds2 for solutions and orbot/CRB for res equipment (I have to hit this one out of the park) I was thinking pre-vac, CRB, pre-spray with punch to loosen soil and use orbot with microbeast pads while spraying more punch?

  Brushencap 20" Won't Run?
Posted by: randyg6224 - 04-04-2016, 08:52 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

My Brushencap CRB quit working today.  Reset button is okay, I can turn the brushes by hand, there is power to the cord.  When releasing the handle - nothing - It is only 5 months old, it has worked perfect until today.  We use it everyday to pre-scrub carpets for HWE.  Any ideas?  HELP??

Very High Traffic Area Input/Information, Please...
Posted by: SS3PBM - 04-01-2016, 10:10 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (2)

Hello all,

We will be starting a new 'regular' commercial carpet job in the next month or so for a public use building. This facility has upwards of 3,000 people visit daily. Currently we HWE and pour water in areas where our carpet cleaner use too much chemicals and etc. This has made us leave fans running all night for the client to pick up and put away each morning after in hopes the areas are dry enough for public access.

Quite often, as in almost daily, you can see a traffic stain into the main floor, at least twice weekly, we have to HWE these areas in order to make them presentable, at least.

One floor has so much foot traffic, the facility is replacing the carpet within the next 60 days.

My questions are as follows:

1) Can Encapping be the 'primary' go to method given the high traffic in this facility? Thoughts on this?;
2) We still have yet to purchase the recommended machines to facilitate this, so will 17" &/or 22" bonnet machines work for now?
3) Dry time, can we expect dry time to be within three (3) hours or so, or should we plan on longer? Use fans?
4) The facility has a policy of only installing light colored carpets, which is/can be the bane of cleaning them especially when there is inclimate weather or on these days go to HWE?

I Am sure there are more questions, but this is what I can think of for now.

Thank you for your thoughts and input.

  Velcro pad ?

One of the Velcro pads on the machine body that holes the weight on has came loose, What would be something good to glue it back on ?
