  help with order and process
Posted by: lancer1004 - 05-19-2016, 11:22 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

Hi all

I am going to order chemical soon, I only could order about 2 product due to shipping cost.

What is the best 2 product I could choose if I do commercial carpet cleaning

I have CRB machine and 175. also Extractor as well.

PAD: thinking of order microbest2 and microglide. do I need fiberplus pad?

also what is cleaning process? Prevac , prespray, agitate with microbest2 and clean with microglide pad?

Thanks

  Keeping Orbot Looking Clean
Posted by: mark63 - 05-17-2016, 06:46 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (2)

No matter what I clean the orbot with, the white residue from the cleaning solutions always comes right back. I like to keep my equipment looking as clean as possible for the customers. can anyone tell me what they have been using to clean there Orbots with? Thanks!

  What would you do?

I did a residential job the other day.
Light colored Berber with dog pee, coffee and other spills. Homeowner tried using overthecounter cleaners to remove spots.
What would you have done?
Steps, prespray, which chemicals, pads, machine?

  Drying Time?
Posted by: Kings Kleen - 05-13-2016, 06:09 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

I cleaned a theater lobby and hall. I placed an air mover to speed drying. An hour later the carpet was still not dry... I was concerned because they were opening in another hour - but instructions say it's OK to walk on it even while wet... It looked OK the next day. How long is it supposed to take to dry?

I am pre-spraying with DS and then releasing Bio-Encap until it turns white, then doing a second pass. It is more wet than when I use my truck mount. What am I doing wrong?

  Orbot vs Vario residential ?
Posted by: mark63 - 05-13-2016, 09:31 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (3)

I have a used orbot (that originally came from Excellent-Supply) I use it mostly for residential as I have a cimex for commercial. I was wondering if I swiched to a Vario would the 19in size be a little large for residential compared a 17in Orbot?

  50% residential 50% commercial
Posted by: Kron1 - 05-11-2016, 04:37 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (7)

With a $5000 budget to start up could the below equipment get me started.

I will be cleaning small commercial properties some residential / apartment move-in and move-outs.

Brush Pro 15
Mytee EC 17 or Vario 2
Dyson vac
Releas-it Chems

Will I still need an extractor and wand or rotary?

I apologize...new to carpet cleaning and learned about encapsulation cleaning in my CCT class two weeks ago.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Is the tension adjustable or is it set to what it is. Looks like to me in the cleaning position that the front is lower then the back. I just happen to notice this the other day as i was coming back to the machine in a large room.

and if you notice when going along walls and into small areas the handle hits , well i cut 1" off of each end and man that makes a big difference for me. it don't hit door jams or scrub the wall. A tubing cutter works great for doing this.

  MicroBeast2 Review
Posted by: HBMville - 05-10-2016, 05:11 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (2)

Hello,

We tried out a 21" MicroBeast2 yesterday with our Vario2. In short, that's all we will be buying in the future.

The increased structural rigidity is a game changer. It not only keeps the pads from rolling up under the pad driver, but it also seems to increase surface area contact. More of the pad is touching the carpet. The end result is enhanced cleaning ability, along with an even stronger pile lifting effect. We cleaned a very dirty olefin berber and it totally wiped it out. We spotted the worst areas with Encap Spot, pre-sprayed with a 1:10 solution of hot Punch, then sprayed DS2 and scrubbed it all in with a tan pad. 10 min dwell, then 2 passes with the MicroBeast2 and the carpet looked new. We didn't even have to rake because it lifted the carpet so well.

This is my initial impression. My hope is that the increased rigidity will stand up to repeated washings because that's the biggest benefit to these new pads. Rick, thank you and congratulations on introducing the next evolution in microfiber pads. I'll be placing an order soon.

It is called the lower solution tank bracket.
