Hydrox or Punch |

I have been using Hydrox for everything just changing the percentage for what I'm doing. When I have an issue I use the spotter. Do you thing Punch would be a better all around "go to" prespray? Price isn't the issue.
I'm doing 50/50 res and commercial work.
Thanks

Have a customer that had a water leak and seems to have mildew issues. Once the area is fully dried, what is the best plan to make sure the mildew & odor is killed past the carpet backing?

Aksimet, Spamming, and Banning on the EncapBoard |

Hey Encappers,
I just wanted to let you know about something on the EncapBoard.
We have installed a feature on the EncapBoard called Aksimet.
Aksimet is a service that monitors blogs and message boards for spam. Spam is more of an issue than you may imagine. There are tons of spammers crawling through the internet trying to load their messages onto unsupervised blogs or message boards. These messages normally contain a link back to a site, so they gain SEO value from their spam.
To help ward off spam we use Aksimet. However it's a two edged sword. While it helps to reduce the amount of spam that lands on our forum, on occasion it has banned a few of our regulars at one time or another too.
I know this can be frustrating! If you get banned for no apparent reason, your immediate thoughts are probably going to be - what in the world was that for? Well take my word for it, this is not about you - it's just a piece of software trying to do its job, and it doesn't always get it right.
For example, one of our regular contributors here got banned today by Aksimet. And naturally he was alarmed. Please guys, if this occurs - shoot me an email. All I have to do is go into the admin for the forum and un-ban you.
Please accept my apology for Aksimet's occasional overzealousness - but unfortunately it's required with the level of spamming that occurs. So it's a necessary part of the equation. I just thought you all should know what may occur from time to time.
In addition to Aksimet, sometimes spam will still slip through; you may have noticed this from time to time. If you happen to spot spam, I'd appreciate your sending me an email or a PM so that I can ban the spammers. We have zero tolerance for spam. Thanks!
We really appreciate the excellent spirit on the forum. You guys contribute a lot of helpful information and it is very much appreciated by all. So keep up the good work guys. And please bear with us as we employ Aksimet and our own intervention to keep the spam off the board.
Regards,
Rick

Hydrox for wool oriental rugs?? |

Is Hydrox safe to use on wool "oriental" area rugs?? I would test for dye transfer first but it seems a natural for cleaning rugs especially if there are pet stains. I will be doing both both top clean only and full imersion cleaning. What are your thoughts??

Ground-in Red Clay |

I came across a deeply stained beige berber rug with a client who moved here from North Carolina. It looks like they had multiple dogs and red clay soil.
Any recommendations for the most efficient removal of red clay stains? I think the red comes from a high iron content in the soil.

Client who run a daycare out of her home calls me yesterday morn, I thought she was calling to tell me the job is not holding up, but instead she tell me her carpet keep getting brighter and cleaner when she vacuums.
Just the call I wanted to hear, since she was already a client of mine and she was not home when I did the job I did not tell her that I encaped the place.
I ended up telling her what I did and explaining the process to her, now that is what she wants for all her future cleaning.
Then check this out she said I need to charge more since it keeps on cleaning and cleaning.
Just thought I would share my first encap paying success story with you guys .

Hopefully one of the Excellent Supply crew will see this tonight. Received my new machine the other day, and am in the process of putting it together. The axle was not put in all the way. I removed the 2 set screws on the back, and the axle still wouldn't move. I tapped lightly with a rubber mallet and still no go. I called Rod today and he told me to remove the springs and the axle will slide through. NOPE! This should have been done before the unit shipped. I have a job to use it on in the morning if someone has any info that may help.
