  Gladiator microfibre pads
Posted by: cammo54 - 09-25-2013, 08:59 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

Has anyone used the Gladiator microfibre pads?
I'm currently using the Fibre Plus pads but as I'm having trouble with the shower feed on my Taski 165 distributing the solution evenly, am thinking another pad may help?
Will the Gladiator be suitable on my machine and if so who distributes them in Australia?
P.S. Yes I'm getting closer to buying an Orbot (but with a shower feed only).
Regards, Rob

Wet Upholstery:
Hydro Kinetic, Sapphire & Dome tools plus tool & hoses that came w/Extracta-vac, plus small detail set of tools, 2 x curtain tools, Hugger stair/upholstery tool

VLM Upholstery::
Makita variable speed polisher x 2 w/various bonnets
Cyclo polisher x 2, 1 is Hos Micro Orbiter with handles w/brushes and bonnets

Other stuff:
Battery Sprayer, Kool Glide, High Intensity UV Light, Crane steamer & converter + folding trolley, AllerX & Sleep Easy mattress sanitisers, Fogging machine, Fabric protector spray gun, safety signs, blocks, tabs, Blue blower fan, Vertical blind cleaner, spotting box, various solutions, Vacuums x 2, Carpet repair tool box, knee guards, spot dye trolley box, Moisture sensor, Moisture meter, laser measurer, wireless credit swipe card machine, laptop, iPad, tool box, box with 2 drawers for incidentals, carpet rake, extending ramps, folding table & 2 folding chairs.

  Not carpet related.......

My beloved Pirates are in the postseason for the first time since 92' and I could not be more excited. It has been rough over those years, fortunately, we here had our Steelers (but it now looks bad for them)

GO BUCS!!!

  Persistence Pays- Who's your target?
Posted by: AusCapper - 09-21-2013, 06:02 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (6)

Reading through the blog by Rick ( Persistence Pays ), got me wondering which market within the Commercial sector other Commercial Carpet Cleaners prefer to target.

*Do you blanket the entire market, and hope for the best? Or do you "Cherry Pick" select companies, and pursue them with great intensity, until they are yours?

*Which industry within the commercial landscape do you consider to have real potential- to be the Jewels in the crown so to speak?

Thanks,
Ned Smile

Shocked Splash Guard for Cimex?
Posted by: ebarnett - 09-21-2013, 01:33 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (6)

Anybody know of a good solution for this? Scrubbing tile and grout, stripping Vct, the Cimex will spit some.

  Good bye wrenches

Hello management.
After 26 years of dealership technician work then helping out at my dads shop after his health issues for the past year and a half, I have accepted a service advisor position with my old employer.
I'll still be a part time "Encap Master" because I love it (I'm crazy that way)
But I might not be posting as much at least until I get settled into the new gig. I'll be here from time to time to see what's new. Smile
Dealerships are like the mafia, they keep pulling you back in. Lol
I plan on building the commercial side by targeting more assisted living centers, nursing homes, doctor , dentist and eye care offices. These places are a VLM ers honey hole. Promoting the health advantages, convenience and lower slip and fall aspects of our services should be relentlessly pitched.
It is starting to work for me and all vlm ers should not overlook these places.
I'm working on brochures and presentations along with Ricks CMS PowerPoint show to set up at local "Health fairs"
I'll explain those more later when I have more details

Lightbulb CRB Brush&Clean 20" TMX 5 Question?
Posted by: Robbdny - 09-21-2013, 01:23 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (7)

I just picked up a used TMX5 its got 2 sets of brushes brown and white.
What machines are interchangeable with the Brush&Clean I know they do private label, or are the B&C Brushes my best bet I just need to know the colors or stiffness.

I want to be able to do:
residential carpet
CGD
Grout&Tile and other hard surfaces

From what I read the blue Brush Pro work great on most carpets can someone give me some feedback. I really want to know what other CRBs brushes are compatible with the Brush&Clean?

Can you share whats your favorite chemicals for carpets when using your CRB

Thanks Alot,
Robb

Thanks
Robb

What about using an old HOST machine as a CRB?
Posted by: pwaldron - 09-20-2013, 01:24 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (9)

Thank you for the opportunity to learn about floor care from professionals. I work for a country club and all that means is that everything has to look great at no cost - the show with no budget. I've begun an encap system with an old 175 and Releasit products which has produced dramatic results. We have about 80,000 sf of carpeted space that is broken up across two campuses and increased productivity over regular HWE has been a blessing. We also have a HOST machine that we use VERY sparingly - only for mid-day emergencies due to cost - and I was curious to see what anyone thought of using the HOST equipment with the Releasit product. The brush sets we have appear to be robust enough to do the job. What do you think, as a stop-gap until one day when my budget stops getting cut in favor of new lamps ... or back scratchers .... or underwater basket weaving programs!
Thanks again! Pete
