  NOT Carpet - Flamin' lizards.
Posted by: Shorty - 09-16-2013, 04:46 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (10)

Had a slight problem driving back home on Sunday arvo;

Had a bit of rain up the track and the crossing had gone under again.

No great problem, it happens all the time.

This time though, we decided not to get out half way for a cool swim as we usually do.

***** lizards think they own the creek.

  Who Grooms?
Posted by: AusCapper - 09-11-2013, 10:37 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (14)

Who grooms the carpet after using their cimex?

Do you groom only when there is swirl marks? Or do you provide an after clean groom every time as part of your service?

Which carpet groomer do you prefer to use?

Thanks,
Ned.

  Ink on CGD?
Posted by: bonedrycarpet - 09-11-2013, 12:00 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (6)

I got a call from a company that has an ink stain about 2 feet by 2 feet. It was ink from a bottle that was used to refill stamp pads. I told them I would look at it today and see what I can do. I was thinking of encapping it. Any ideas or tips?

Thanks

Lightbulb VLM OP EXPERTS NEED ADVICE WITH OP MACHINE INFO
Posted by: Robbdny - 09-10-2013, 09:58 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (16)

Masters of the Carpets,
Could some of your Masters of VLM please give me there opinion on the history and experience if you own one. Is this an A list machine or just another OP machine that's average

To my knowledge its an Orbitec CX20? Now are Orbitec & CCS Machines related I hear all the time that the Trinity is one of the most desired because of the builder and design of the machines. I have the opportunity to buy this machine at a good price it was 3 jobs. If someone that knows the facts could give me the solid details and if this is a good machine I would appreciate.

I want to get a feel if this machine is a good investment? Verified little use, cost about $1700.

I know everyone has there favorites I hope this dosent turn into a Ford vs Chevy discussion. My biggest concern is how does is compare to the rest of the OP Machines on the market?? Being a newer company I would be doing more residential to start. Whats your recommendation?

Not that it makes a big deal but I have taken my IICRC CCT and passed.....

Thank You Very Very Much!!
Robb

Please give me you opinions PLEASE!!![Image: ORBITECCX20.jpg]

ORECK LOW BOY WITH WHEEL KIT
Posted by: denclean - 09-10-2013, 03:45 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (12)

We would like to get some feedback from anyone who is using the Oreck Low Boy with the wheel kit that has also had experience with other OP machines on the market. Does it clean better or worse, slower or faster, easier or harder than other OP machines you have used? Just trying to get some real life experiences from guys actually using the machine.

  Custom Spotter Bottles
Posted by: Blue Ridge Floor Care - 09-06-2013, 09:01 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (14)

I love the idea of giving customers a free bottle of spotter complete with a custom label with my company logo and contact info. I even like the idea of giving free refills. I normally see this implemented by cleaning co's targeting residential customers. How about using it with commercial customers? What say you?

Posted by: cleantechsk - 09-05-2013, 03:13 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (6)

What have you guys used in the past to fix it? Gorilla glue of some sort?

  Vehicles used?
Posted by: Patrick - 09-04-2013, 06:11 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (36)

Now this is not for the hwe guys with truckmounts, but for the encap guys. Since you do not need a heavy duty truck to haul all of that heavy equipment, I am wondering what kind of vehicle you use? Mini van? SUV? Station wagon?

Multiple Pricing Options in Commercial Proposals
Posted by: Blue Ridge Floor Care - 09-04-2013, 01:30 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (3)

How many of you guys offer multiple prices based on frequency of cleaning in your commercial proposals? How many different prices do you give, and what frequency are they based on? We currently just bid the job based on the price we need for one cleaning, but are considering changing our approach.
