  Micro beast vs polyprop!
Posted by: Simon - 08-28-2013, 04:14 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (13)

Encaped using a fibre plus pad with solution being fed from the tank on my 390rpm polivac...No dramas , looked great as always but being a resi. job I thought Id better throw a micro beast under the machine and just hit the traffic areas as I finished up.
All the sudden the machine bit hard I must have hit a dry patch....

PANIC!!!!! I had melted the top of the polyprop with the edge of one of the blue scrubbing strips(I think)

Got it back to this after half hour of delicately scraping the crispy bits with a cheap packet of shavers.

Its still not perfect but the customer was very very understanding. (need to go buy a lotto ticket)

Just posting this as a warning to others to always always make sure your pads are wet!!!!!

  Diluted DS Shelf Life
Posted by: AusCapper - 08-27-2013, 01:47 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (3)

A question for Rick. Please forgive if this is repeat question;

Once Releasit DS is in its diluted form (i.e leftover, or pre-prepared "demo" containers) should it be used within a specific time frame? will its effectiveness reduce over time?

Or will it remain as effective as the day it was bottled?

Thanks,
Ned.

  Micro fiber furniture
Posted by: MikeB - 08-26-2013, 02:16 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

I really hate micro fiber furniture. We own one micro recliner and I won't even sit in it. It feels like sitting on a chamois.
BUT. I love cleaning it!!
Did a sofa, love seat and recliner this morning using Hydrox and a little Punch on the spots that Hydrox wasn't killing.
It really cleans up nice using my orbital buffer and cotton pads.
Looks like a brand new chamois!!
Sorry, no pics Sad

  Chemical storage
Posted by: cleanclub77 - 08-25-2013, 10:24 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (3)

I currently store my encap chemicals in my garage on shelves.(hot in summer & cold in winter) Would the hot and cold temps affect the chemicals in any way? Would storing them in another part of the house be better for storage?

  Orbots gone?
Posted by: Ed E - 08-25-2013, 02:22 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (14)

Rick-
Looking at the E-S web site today it looks like the Orbot has disappeared from the line card. I see the Low-Boy as a great alternative at a reasonable price, especially if you get a solution tank mounted, so it makes sense to promote it. Have you dropped the Orbots? If so, will those of us who have them still be able to buy parts and supplies? Thanks-Ed

  Question on Taptalk
Posted by: rlord - 08-25-2013, 09:17 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (3)

If I download Taptalk does it make it easy to download photo's from my smart phone directly to sites that support it or do I still have to go through photobucket or other gyrations.

When should the carpet be flushed??
Posted by: Shorty - 08-25-2013, 04:35 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (5)

LONG, LONG before it gets to this stage.

Used my MB TF3500 @ 300psi and running 3 vac; motors in conjunction with the Rotovac 360i with large quad head extraction head.

After doing the rotary extraction, I then bonnet cleaned with the Sprayborg and a Tuway MicroFiber 21 inch Bonnet, available from excellent-supply.com

Just wish I hadda taken photos before starting to clean, and after bonneting.

The oils and grease were caked on top of the poly; carpet, giving it a dull shine.

Manager thought it was going to be replaced, but head office said "not yet". Sad

Disgusting. Angry

Made a world of difference when I was done.

Told yo'all I was a dummy on computers. Blush

Thanks Rick for taking the time to contact me and fix my problems.

Now all you unlucky people will have to put up with me again for a while. Big Grin

Woke up early this lovely Sunday morning & decided I have a bit of time to see what's been happening and determined to get back on here.

Thanks again Rick.

  Hos Orbot cleaning residential Tile
Posted by: MikeHabib - 08-23-2013, 09:39 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (26)

Well guy's & girls, yesterday I did my first tile cleaning job. First we vacuumed the area to be cleaned , next I used Dirt Devil from Jon Don , let it dwell for ten minutes, used a brush to scrub the grout lines , went back over it with a Oreck Orbitor and then pulled out a used ( handful of times) M12 and a SX-12. Guess what, the M-12 leaked all over the place. This is the third extractor that has had problems in the last three weeks. ( I think that I am done with portable extractors) I then mopped the floor and used the M-12 to vacuum up the solution. The grout lines that where bad looked a little bit better however, not what I expected. Since I had had so many problems with extractors, I am curious in a residential setting, how well would a Hos Orbot work on ceramic tile and grout lines. Also, what do you guys do to get under the kitchen cabinets. Thanks in advance.

  For The CRB'ers....

Bought a tote for the CRB, makes things much more efficient to transport.

If you don't already have one, you should consider it:
