Tile & Grout Cleaning - Love It Or Hate It?
Posted by: TheCleaningDude - 10-27-2012, 04:16 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (32)

As it stands I do no like cleaning tile and grout.

We use the Orbot and yes it works. But, it's kind of a hassle in my opinion. This is especially the case with the recovery process.

How many of you are using your Cimex, Orbot or 175 to clean t&g?

Any of you using extraction tools?

I'm on the verge of getting a Mytee Air Hog and Water Hog along with a spinner. This is - as far as I know - the least expensive way to clean t&g and avoid using an over sized porty at the same time.

Thoughts?

  Pile Lifter???

How many of you folks use a pile lifter on a regular basis? Do you use it all the time or just when needed on tough work? What type do you use? Is it slow to use? Thanks for your thoughts!

  Cimex Handles

Rick are the handles on your site the Stock Cimex handles or are they something special you found elsewhere that are comfortable/less fatiguing?

my hands get tired after 8-14 hours pushing the Mex Tongue

(i'm filling my Shopping Cart with spare parts, hence all the questions.)

  Battery Sprayers
Posted by: cammo54 - 10-26-2012, 07:10 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (14)

Considering updating to a battery sprayer for my encapping solution (unless I get the hang of my water tank on the Taski).
- Would prefer a sprayer that can be wheeled in or carried depending on the size of the job.
- What do others use and what are the pros and cons of different sprayers?
- Do any battery sprayers have a power indicator to warn of impending battery loss?

Question about the 4 steel "Rods" that go into the grommets...
Posted by: Derek - 10-25-2012, 04:10 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (2)

on my 8 year Cimex the stock pad drivers fit fine...they never fall off when i am wheeling it around with the pad drivers off of the ground.

i put those 8 year old stock pad drivers on a newer Cimex recently and the old pad drivers will fall off when i lift the cleaning head off the carpet...especially if the heads are still spinning.

any tips on how to keep this from happening?

tx!

Which Cimex Weight Kit Do You Like?
Posted by: Derek - 10-25-2012, 04:03 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (8)

i just noticed the 2 different Cimex weight kits. Anyone have either?

there is a "Horse Shoe" kit which is 35 LBS and a Bracket kit of 2 weights that are 20 LBS each.

which works better at evenly distributing the weight for carpet cleaning?

  Hotel motel estimates
Posted by: Anew Carpet Cleaning OKC - 10-24-2012, 05:49 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (9)

Any tips on hotel motel estimates? I am sure I can measure the common areas, I'm mainly interested in rooms, or if that's something some of you all spend time on, hotel/motel rooms that is, I was thinking of charging a certain price getting 5, 10, 20, done at a time etc., and maybe more if some have less than 5 that may need immediate attention???

Have comm. carpet to clean soon with my cimex. There is a large red spot and some other spots on the carpet. I have releast-it, hydrox and punch. Suggestions on removing the stains and getting the carpet as clean as possible would be appreciated. Still learning.
