  Font Size
Posted by: encapman - 10-22-2012, 05:20 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (3)

We just made another minor tweak to the new EncapBoard. We increased the font size a little. It was on the small side before. And on smaller laptops, tablets, and phones it was really small. This new larger font makes it easier to read (especially for some of us with aging eyeballs) Cool

  Another word/term for Owner/Operator?
Posted by: Derek - 10-22-2012, 04:25 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (13)

i am making up new business cards...just slightly editing my old ones. i've never been fond of the term "owner / operator", can anyone give me some alternative expressions? it already states that i'm a Certified Commercial Carpet Care Specialist (got "Certified" by Lee's several years ago.)

I encapped a nylon (NOT SDN) carpet the other day.

Two days later the owner phones and say's there's a problem.

Could not see anything during pre-inspection, but it now looks like the color has been bleached out.

Any ideas what it may be.??

  Swirls....
Posted by: TheCleaningDude - 10-19-2012, 05:41 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (6)

Saw some pics of the Cimex in action on another board. Results were awesome however it looked like there were a lot of swirls left in the carpet (multiple job sites).

Are swirls a common occurrence, an anomaly or user error?

If it's something that happens on occasion what's the best way to remove them?

When did you buy your 1st Cimex?
Posted by: Derek - 10-18-2012, 02:36 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (16)

i think a few people who still post here have me beat.

bought my 1st Cimex from Rick. I had to check email records for the exact date: 5-5-2004 is when Rick sent me the Estes tracking #.

i have a spare Cimex in the van at all times for a backup. i bought it used. i really need to sell the original off and buy a new backup from Rick. from then on i should buy a new one every 3-4 years to keep them looking presentable to clients, and sell the old one on Craigslist. the only problem with that is, i hate for other local CC'ers to own them Blush seriously lol.

so on what date did you buy your 1st Cimex?

  A new Marketing Plan???

My first post on the new board. QUESTION- How does _______ Carpet Cleaning Co. charge so little? QUESTION- How does everyone else charge so Much? I was thinking about this as I was looking at an ad from Stanley Steemer in Sarasota, Fl. "3 areas for $91.95" What say you?

Tongue Cimex Dimensions....
Posted by: TheCleaningDude - 10-18-2012, 03:03 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (5)

Was checking out the main site and couldn't find any dimensions or weight for the Cimex - specifically the 19" machine.

Most likely user error, I know....

If someone could post them or point me in the right direction that would be great.

Thanks!
