  Cimex Bearings
Posted by: Col Foster - 05-11-2017, 05:35 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (5)

I changed the belt on my Cimex CR38 ( 15 inch ) at the weekend & now I'm getting a lot of noise fron the drive disk. I suspect the new belt is putting a lot of pressure on old bearings.
I'd like to replace the main centre pulley bearing first to see if that helps. Can anyone give me the bearing number for the CR38?  I'm pretty sure I can get one from my local bearing shop here in AU.

Thanks.

Nervous before my biggest job- 25833 sq/fts
Posted by: Bernd - 05-09-2017, 04:53 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (13)

I am going to start with my biggest commercial job next week...25833 sq/fts of CGD. Its a big software company. I am realy excited and nervous... Will do the job only with my helper who is vaccuming and refelling the jugs of my Orbot. We do not need to move furniture.

Doing some longer hallways and many smaller offices with desks and cabinets. Problem is that some hallways have tile floors and we have to go from one to the other office to clean the carpet inside! The carpet is medium soiled...has only a few spots.

We still try to figure out how to get to highest production rate. The plan is that my helper is vaccuming and pre-spraying visible spots and traffic lanes. Spills won't be pre-sprayed (will be using Rick's tip for spill stains). I will run the Orbot - nontop with full weights and Fiber pads and/or MF Pads or SuperZorbs on the dirtier areas. Wil do two passes- one while spraying and one slower backwards as my cleaning pass. A one pass cleaning shouldn't be enough.

We have to clean on 7 different floors and have three days from 8 am till 5 pm to finish the whole job. We have to do around 1010 sq/fts per hour 8,5 hours a day to get the job done in this three days. Should work Smile . I ordered a new case of DS2 from Rick's UK supplier (they provide a great service by the way).

Keep you up to date how my biggest job will turn out   Smile

  replacing bonnets

How do you know when it's time to throughout a bonnet? I know they get stringy but are they still absorbing as good as before they got stringy, and if not how stringy should they be before you toss them? Thanks!

  Oily Restaurant Carpet?
Posted by: PaulAmbassadorMan - 05-08-2017, 01:02 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (6)

Every other month we clean the local Red Lobster. We have always performed HWE. I am curious if anyone here would recommend VLM using our Unico orbital and Releasit DS-2?
Will this perform well on the cooking oils used and various spills that are common?

NEW Low-Priced Battery Sprayer at Excellent Supply
Posted by: encapman - 05-08-2017, 11:43 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

One of our customers ran across this sprayer and suggested that I take a look at it. Glad that he did! It's a cool sprayer, and it fills a niche. So we've added the Hydroshot Sprayer to our store... http://www.excellent-supply.com/HydroSho...p_965.html

I've already used this on a couple of jobs and I LOVE this sprayer. It applies solution to the carpet FAST. I can move around quicker with it than I can with a typical 5 gallon battery powered sprayer.  It's super handy! Besides being fun to work with - it sells for just $129. I think it's a pretty sweet little sprayer.

Comes with a 20' hose so you can cover a nice sized area. Just drop the hose into a bucket of Releasit and you're spraying down a perfect volume of solution. It has a dual-pressure pump - 60psi (ideal for spraying your encap), and 320psi (great for washing equipment, etc). It puts out 1/2 gallon per minute (max flow rate) which makes it easy to move pretty quick as you apply encap detergent to the carpet.

The 20V battery lasts approximately 30-45 minutes of run-time, and does a full recharge in about 5 hours. A fully charged battery is easily good for encapping a couple thousand sq ft. Additional spare batteries can be purchased for $49.99.

The Hydroshot isn't recommended for corrosive detergents, solvents, strong acids, high alkaline, or hydrogen peroxide. But it works well with mid-pH range detergents, like Releasit Encap-Clean DS2. And if you'll rinse it out after each use, the spray unit should last a long time. It comes with a 3 year warranty.

We're excited about being able to offer this reasonably priced, solidly built, and highly portable sprayer. Check it out... http://www.excellent-supply.com/HydroSho..._965.htmll

  How to sell encap?
Posted by: PaulAmbassadorMan - 05-02-2017, 10:49 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (8)

Greeting everyone!
My name is Paul and I have been cleaning for 10 years now. 2 years as an owner/operator.
I am getting into encap cleaning and I actually have a job lined up for this weekend ( met with the client and discussed encap vs HWE ). I have performed this type of cleaning before and I have all of the supplies needed.
However my client that we are cleaning for this weekend called yesterday and wanted to set up a meeting for today. He has some more questions concerning encap cleaning.
I am worried that he is not too keen on this process. I will not HWE this job it is 9000 sqft!
Is there any documentation you recommend me showing or sharing with him?
How would you sell or REsell this job?

Thanks!!

  Goat Hair Carpet Squares....
Posted by: SS3PBM - 05-02-2017, 08:29 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

Hello all,

One of our commercial clients installed goat hair carpeting! Our crew did spotting around 8p and it still was not dry at 7a when doing an inspection.

I think, they used too much solution?

What is the recommendation for fully cleaning this type of covering?

TIA - SamuelS

  Cleaning a Senior Home
Posted by: Bernd - 05-01-2017, 03:23 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (9)

I have to bid on a large senior home (including the apartments, hallways, restaurants...) and will do a free demo to show them the results Releasit can achieve. They have some food spots and traffic lanes on a green cgd carpet.

I am not realy sure if i should use Punch/DS2 or HydrOx (cause of the food spots)...I have read that many cleaner use Punch/DS2 for restaurants so this combination should do the trick or would you recommend HydrOx?

Shaw Contract now recommends encapsulation for their carpet
Posted by: encapman - 04-27-2017, 01:37 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (6)

There was a time when Shaw wasn't such a fan of encapsulation. In the past, their emphasis was on "hot water extraction" as the primary method for maintaining commercial carpet. They now recognize encapsulation, and their website highlights its benefits for commercial carpet. It's good to see that encapsulation has gained the approval of one of the world's largest carpet manufacturers. Here are the current recommendations from the Shaw Contract website...

  Rinsing microfiber bonnets
Posted by: mark63 - 04-24-2017, 08:04 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

Just wondering the best way to rinse out microfiber bonnets at the end of each day? Can i just rinse in the sink, squeeze out and hang, should I get a mop bucket with a strainer and hang? or is there a better way. Thanks!
