Everyone talks about dwell time and I was just wondering do most of you pre spray before you use your cimex or orbital? I often use a crb and prespray with 60 psi sprayer. Then use crb with no solution attached. ( previously used duplex crb with shower feed) thanks for input..

Laminate / Hardwood "refinishing" |

Has anyone tried any of these products that claim you can restore laminate flooring finish and also use on hardwood? It's not deep sanding and refinishing (hardwood) but a chemical buff with fiber pads and a finish product available in different levels of gloss.

Gary Heacock - very sad news!!
(for those that know of Gary!)
Gary Heacock Tragic News
Hello Everyone,
I have some sad news to share. My Dad Gary Heacock was involved in a fatal auto accident driving home from an event in Las Vegas. I know many of you were his friends and would want to know. Our family would appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we walk through these next days and weeks.
I myself am a second generation cleaning and restoration professional and cut my teeth carrying buckets to fill the portables and shampoo machines and raking carpets as a teenager. My Dad was a great guy and loved helping and socicalizing with other carpet cleaners.
One of my proudest moments was when as a teenager I accompanied my Dad to a CCINW convention in CourdeLane Idaho where there was a fabric identifaction contetns and out of the hundreds of guys there, he was the only one to identify 10 out of 10 fabric fibers correctly. He often wore a hat that said, "World's Greatest Carpet Cleaner"
I got to spend time with him at the Vegas Connections last year and got to see many of you there. Even well into his retirement he loved staying connected with the community of cleaners and restorers. And if you bought a pair of his wand ski's, I'm sorry I had nothing to do with that LOL!
Alan Heacock
R.I.P. Gary,
Delia & Shorty.

FiberPlus MAX on ceramic tile |

I have a job coming up that is a combo of ceramic tile and residential carpeting with several transitions. I have the Hos Tile and Grout Brush, but I am wondering if I can simply use the FiberPlus Max gray pads with the weight kit rather than having to change out the plate. I'm using Sprayborg with microbeast and superzorb bonnets for the carpeting. That way, I could save some time and simply do the velcro switch from fiber to bonnet.
Has anyone used FiberPlus on ceramic tile with good results? Is it aggressive enough? I will test it before I do it, but I think the workflow process would be expedited by being able to make those transitions quickly.

Can someone post pictures of their Challenger-up close photos of the fork assembly? I took mine apart and for the life of me,cannot remember the correct order of nuts/bolts for both sides.

i am not sure why i am asking this when i know the answer is wide open to
as long as your happy
as long as your making a profit
depends on how big the job is
depends on bad you you need the work
do you think the larger companies have an advantage over the smaller companies with it comes to giving bids? due to the larger companies are doing volume work,

Ok first a little info on what I clean. I am on the quest to simplify my chems.....
I mostly clean empty homes, vacatiom rentals, and apartments. I am 95% vlm and use an Orbot but have the ability to use a steamin demon for flushing.
I maybe do an occupied residential once to twice a week?
My question form you guys is, what chems would you guys use for everyday cleaning? Really bad apts? Lastly, occupied residential?

Cleaning SuperZorbs |

Anyone use bleach to clean their SuperZorbs? I just launder them with regular laundry detergent, but they are starting to look a little dingy. I have not used bleach with any of my bonnets or pads in the past, but hate to take out dingy pads while the customer is around.
