I guess we're going to get ALL of our winter weather in Feb and March this year here in Illinois.
Not helping the "spring cleaning" emotional response here at all! Phones are still functional right?? Yep I checked...Dodgy

How to get over the "hey that's not how the other guys do it"
Posted by: leofry@1966 - 03-05-2013, 11:49 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (13)

Now i know one of the responses i will get is go in and do a awesome job, i agree with this, but but....a lot of times carpet is subjective meaning when you get done some can always wonder if it could be better... unless you do a side by side comparison, I won;t lie there has been times when i have not done encaping when i knew it would do a better job but i knew they would not understand... also times where i have set the wand and hoses down in the room just to avoid questions .... if i could in 5 years i would be 100% encaping and 90% of it would be commercial

Guy's I am curious if you have ever encaped Berber carpet before ? If so, what do you use on it.

Fully booked for next week - now booking Saturdays again... yessss!

Time again to make hay- now that January and Feb are gone, phone is ringing as it should again.

Worked this Saturday (today)on a 3700 sq ft with tile and grout- tile had a awful film, came right off with regular persuation- used encap on stairs and spots- awesome results- need to take more pics-

Rick I have been using pros choice alkaline cleaner for natural stone- next Saturday I have a killer Terrazzo floor - newer but abused huge home -and need something more nuke worthy for t/g- any suggestions?? I could prescrub but is there any new magic cleaners available that perhaps emulsify impacted oil and grease better?

It is bad -from cooking oils and grease- and pros choice may need a little ooompf! I have done many- many jobs- but this home less than 2 yrs old will challenge my current product offering. I have 300+ degree heat and 1500 psi and hydro force sx12 doing the business.

I have tried most of the classic T/G products but always looking for the new Mojo.

Has some sort of air lock.

How do I fix it?

Thanks in advance.

  Not carpet related

OK, i know this is vct tile related but I know that many do tile floors as well here.
Kay Chemical....
Anyone familiar with their MarketStar floor finish?
Local grocery chain now has it in their warehouse. Store managers state it is under 40 dollars for 5 gallons and they want to use this stuff. I service a few of these stores and they want to now supply the finish from their warehouse instead of having us bring in our finish.
Does it last? Strip off easily? Respond to propane buffing? Level?
Could not find any info on the web except that it is made by EcoLab, the same company that makes Sam's Club wax, which scares me.

  First job w/ new Cimex
Posted by: SLOTOOLS - 02-26-2013, 02:13 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (29)

This was my first job with the Cimex last month- this was only the first pass on this area as well, The building Super was really amazed. I got this big account as the HWE guy could clean, but it was always too wet and dried dingy, and then quick resoiling- another score for DS2 and Punch encap!!

this was my first foray into encapping......

What instructions are given to the janitorial crew following encap?

For example:
1. Must they use an upright vac with beater bar?
2. How soon is too soon and how long is too long for post vac?
3. Is post vacuuming something you should do yourself?
