  Dry cleaning sponges
Posted by: Rob D - 02-14-2013, 02:04 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (18)

Rick I love your encap products just curious if you have thought about producing your own cleaning sponges similar to brush n clean or host?? If not have you considered offering the large bucket of brush n clean. I believe many cleaners with the crb would be more willing to try or buy them if you offered them..once again I can't say enough great facts about your products! I wish I would of found them earlier life would of been easier.

I have a used one coming from an ebay auction this week, just wondered if anyone has experience with these machines. I initially intended to use it for CGD encap applications but now I'm seeing some unfavorable posts with regard to encapping with this unit.
If all else fails I thought it would at least be a good traffic lane scrubber for commercial or even residential berbers.

  Hardwood floor cleaning?
Posted by: CleanItGreen - 02-07-2013, 08:47 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (7)

Howdy to the crew! month 8 in the business and i'm still here!

I've had many people that I speak to that say they have hardwood floor, then ask me if I clean them. I've spent my time focusing on carpet, but figure it would be a no brainer to add hardwood floor cleaning. But my question is, is there some special technique? I did a quick search the other day when I had a moment and it seems that companies that offer it are simply mopping the floor with a nice mop (ex microfilter) and something like murphy's oil soap or something similar. Is that all folks are looking for? Help would be appreciated.

  Prospecting and Selling Advice needed.
Posted by: Anew Carpet Cleaning OKC - 02-04-2013, 08:46 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

We started out targeting certain industries such as funeral homes, dentist offices, etc. Than I started to personally drive around certain areas picking the businesses, and then calling, following up, using CMS techniques.

I would appreciate any advice on prospecting techniques, or anything that may help with the prospecting process. (Calling, decision maker's name, mailing, follow up.) Any pitfalls, or ways you think I could get more efficient? It takes me around one hour to round up 25 to 35 names depending on the area, and then it takes about another hour to put their information (name, number, mailing address) onto a workable call list.

We have made a commitment this year to concentrate on commercial so it has been a big change, as what you focus on is what you usually get more of, however, I am still learning every day.

Any stories, suggestions, or comments....things to do, things not to do....from the cleaners out there that have reached their selling and business goals would be appreciated.

Things are going well, just always willing to take advice from those who have already been there.

Thanks
Brandon
