Can you shower-feed with an orbital machine
Posted by: encapman - 07-03-2019, 07:23 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - No Replies

Customer, new to using the Vibe asked about shower-feeding or using bonnets on the Vibe:

Quote:I just purchased a Vibe from Excellent Supply. I’ve been using VonSchrader for years. New to the orbital world and looking to learn what I can. I read the following post and wanted to better understand the shower feed and pad changing. I do mostly residential work. Does this mean I use same pad over and over until it’s worn out. Sorry new guy question.

1. If you shower feed the solution (like with a Cimex machine, or a rotary machine with a tank) there's no need to rinse the pads. The pads will be perpetually flushed as the solution passes through the pads. This keeps the pads relatively clean. They'll get slightly gray, but nothing too significant.

My reply:

If you "shower-feed" with scrubbing pads, such as the FiberPlus pads, (like you would on a Cimex machine) there's no need to rinse because the pads will be perpetually flushed as the solution passes through the pads. That's how shower-feeding works on a Cimex or on a rotary machine using a tank.

Now with any type of bonnet cleaning machine, such as the Vibe, it's more practical to use bonnets. You could use FiberPlus pads to perform straight encap, but the pads will quickly become soiled since the solution is not being dispersed through the pad.

We normally recommend using bonnets with an orbital machine, such as the Vibe. The bonnets will absorb soil as you clean. The bonnets can be flipped over as they become dirty (so you'll use both sides of the bonnet). And then the bonnets can be cleaned after the job by spraying/rising them or by laundering them.

Microfiber bonnets rinse out easily. So you actually only need to carry a handful of bonnets, since they can be easily rinsed out on the job as needed. Microfiber bonnets are highly effective! And when using bonnets with a good encap detergent like Releasit, you're actually removing soil through two mediums - 1. Absorption, 2. Encapsulation.

We recommend these microfiber bonnets: Microfiber GLIDE for residential, https://www.excellent-supply.com/Microfi..._1143.html  And microfiber SCRUB for commercial, https://www.excellent-supply.com/Microfi...p_960.html

Thank you Rick Gelinas & Excellent-Supply.com for getting these fantastic bonnets to me for upholstery cleaning since I can no longer get my usual bonnets in Australia.

Microfiber GLIDE 8 inch Gentle Microfiber Bonnet

They arrived week before last, extremely fast delivery, & we are rapt with the way they work on encapsulating upholstery.

Thanks again.

It always amazes me why people say that:

Cimex is too big.
Cimex is too awkward.
Cimex won't go into small areas.

On & on & on it goes.

MAYBE, if these knockers THOUGHT about their problems & ACTUALLY TRIED to find a way, they would not be so narrow minded.
They truly remind me horses that require blinkers so that their peripheral vision does not take them away from what they should be doing.

Many humans are the same, our peripheral eyesight kicks in, & all we can see is a problem.
We are so narrow minded that we cannot concentrate on the problem & find a solution.

Here's a few pics that I did today inside a wardrobe, yes, in a house.
I make NO apologies for this.

  A Real Good Sprayer
Posted by: encapman - 05-20-2019, 01:28 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - No Replies

Most spray bottles fail because chemicals eat up the o-ring seal. So we sourced a "Real Good" sprayer that's bulletproof. It's chemical-resistant, has high output, solid durability, and produces an even spray pattern. And it's affordable too. Then we mated it with a "Real Good" biodegradable bottle. Hence the name.

Here's a description of our newest addition at Excellent Supply. A chemical-resistant, high-output sprayer with a biodegradable quart bottle. And it sells for $4.

  crb with steam

I will appreciate any thoughts on Duplex Steam machines, I guess these machines would give better results than crb's due to the combination of crb and steam

  Upholstery Cleaning?
Posted by: cleanerguy - 04-14-2019, 05:02 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (5)

How do you folks clean upholstery with Releasit , do you use Hydrox instead of the regular Releasit?

I am looking for the safest way to clean, should I use a truck mount or some special pad? I don't want to put myself in jeopardy
and cause damage.

  Commercial Business

New Here!
Been in business for about 3 years. The last quarter of last year and this year so far have been wonderful with my residential customers. However I have found that commercial is a much better way to go.  I like the stability of those repeat clients and residual income. Any advice on how to obtain more of these customers, who to talk too, what to do???
My wife and I were going to purchase a millicare franchise here in the Charlotte NC area but someone beat us to it. Instead we chose to go at ourselves but have ended up with 700 residential customers which do pay the bills but we dont make enough to hire someone and make too much to give it up. Any advice would be appreciated. I do have few commercial clients who have the carpet cleaned every 3 months. Im doing it with 2- 15 inch brush pro CRB's,  prespray and compound. I easily make $1200 before noon with these clients and I want to do more.  Big Grin  TIA
