While some of you are freezing your butts off - here's how I spent the morning.

Nice 25 mile ride with the misses! Stopped for espresso on the way home.

Stay warm Tongue

  Should We Keep Tapatalk?
Posted by: encapman - 11-27-2014, 10:00 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (11)

I was just working on the backend of our forum this morning. And the question of Tapatalk's value came to mind. How many of you guys like it? How many of you think it just gets in the way? I am thinking of killing it. In fact I see there's a similar topic over on MikeysBoard this morning too - guess great minds think alike Wink

Please let me know whether you'd like us to keep Taptalk or whether it's not a big deal anymore. Leave your comments and be sure to vote in this poll? Thanks

  Church Sanctuary
Posted by: marty.pork - 11-24-2014, 12:41 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (9)

I have a church sanctuary that I maintain quarterly. It's huge. Takes me 8 hours to wand it. They recently replaced the carpets. The last carpet lasted 16 years. Much to my credit, if I do say so. I maintained the original carpets from day one, as well. They let me spec the new, and I chose a cut pile nylon. They chose the color. The stain resistance is wonderful. I know because my wife spilled a whole cup of Mickey D's sweet tea on it right in the middle of church service the second Sunday! I watched the tea snake it's way down the middle aisle from the back of the church to puddle right in front of the pulpit. Not a drop of it soaked in! The preacher told me later that he first thought it was a snake.

I've been HWE'ing it for a couple of years now, but now that I've got the Cimex, I'm wondering if I can encap it? I'm worried about using the pads that came with the machine. I have both the gray and the tan ones, but I think they are too aggressive. I worry about them abrading away the stain resistance.

Is there something else I can use?

  Wool Rug Question
Posted by: lee@deepclean.us.com - 11-19-2014, 05:45 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

I will be cleaning about (6) 6X6 light tan wool rugs at a customers home in the near future.
I see some folks recommend Hydrox while others recommend DS2.
These rugs are quite clean and have no extra spotting concerns.
Any suggestions from the experts ??????

  Encap in the UK
Posted by: New Look Clean - 11-16-2014, 02:43 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

Hi all

I am in the UK but can't find an oscillating rotary floor machine

The only one here is the Orbot, but its very costly and i dont want one with a tank etc and all the extra cost - i just want something similar to the Oreck Low Boy but can't get one over here.

I don't want the Cimex either

Do you guys know of any machines i could get over to the UK? The nearest thing i can find is an orbital floor sander but obviously thats not going to work with the pads etc

Any help would be appreciated
