  Still learning
Posted by: cleanclub77 - 08-13-2014, 11:13 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

I have two rooms of carpet to clean at the Fire Dept. in my town. The GD carpet has not been cleaned in ten years and have spots all over it, some large. I have ds2 and punch that I will be using with my Cimex. Any special advice from anyone on the best way to handle this job to get the best results. I'm still fairly new to carpet cleaning and is still learning.

  Commercial Direct Mail?
Posted by: mark63 - 08-12-2014, 08:07 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (5)

I picked up my buss crds and mentioned to my printer I was interested in post cards. He started making proofs and sending them to me, then gave me the number of a direct mail list company that he knows. Well now i'm getting ready to send three mailings out to 2000 commercial addresses one town over from me which will end up costing me over $2000.00 buy the third mailing. I am starting to think I might be making a $2000.00 mistake, but after their work I would not want to stop the process. Does anybody have any experience or advice for this type of marketing, I did not advertise any low prices or print any prices, just 10% off for first time customers. PS. I was a carpet installer before cleaning so I also put restreches and repairs in the ad which I think might help with commercial jobs.

  Tabbing furniture
Posted by: mark63 - 08-11-2014, 04:36 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (2)

I think I know the answers But since going VLM I'm so close to not putting down plastic tabs under furniture because it dries so fast, but I realise that it is still wet and with the furniture legs on top of the carpet the moisture wont evaporate. Has anybody stopped tabbing with VLM?

Posted by: leofry@1966 - 08-08-2014, 11:09 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (10)

whats the small print say ?

do you return no matter what ?

how many days do you give them

I love the cimex machine i think it greatly reduces spots from coming back but still don;t think it is a miracle...
I have even cleaned a few places that could use a good two cleanings

so tell me what your guarantee says

  Big Boy wheel question?
Posted by: mark63 - 08-04-2014, 07:45 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (7)

I seen a cimex with 10in wheels but they looked like the stock wheels just larger, It also seemed to roll stiffer than my cimex. I bought the 10in big boy wheels from Rick. Are these the new style big boy wheels or are they a different style?

  pricing question
Posted by: Duane - 08-03-2014, 09:04 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (3)

I just did a demo in a 3 story medical arts building. Janitor that has been cleaning this building for 20 yrs. says they aren't happy with the current cleaner. Last guy was a steam cleaner. Was told that they want it cleaned every 3 mths. or so. I will only have to vacuum high traffic areas like entrances & elevators (2). I have an Orbot thinking of purchasing an additional Cimex. Was told the common areas will consist of about 16,000 sq.' very little furniture moving. I'm thinking of pricing at .18 sq'. Any suggestions or input greatly appreciated.
