  Punch as a Pre-Spray
Posted by: Ed E - 04-25-2013, 11:31 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

Did a nasty retail client tonight with heavy traffic lane dirt. Used Punch as a pre-spray, then DS2.

I pre-sprayed all of the traffic lanes, then went about cleaning. Just took me awhile to get through all of the space. The question I have about Punch is, does it matter if you pre-sprayed two hours earlier, or should you stage your pre-spray so that it is "fresh". I always operated under the assumption that time is your friend, when it comes to chemistry.

Any thoughts?

what do you guys do to avoid cross contamination ?

I really try to clean my hoses up very well after and before each job the same with the wand, i have recently started spraying disinfection on the wand mouth. What else can be done within reason... do you worry about bed bugs.. i have never seen them and i want to keep it that way...

How many here are VLM only ?

No T.M., no portable extractor. Pads, bonnets or encap only. Just curious.

Orbot with SHOWER FEED like a CIMEX
Posted by: Cairnswun - 04-24-2013, 06:56 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (5)

Hope you don't mind Rick, otherwise, just delete.

What would you say about an Orbot that has a shower feed system similar to the system on an Cimex ??

Naturally, this is to be used only in conjunction with pads, NOT bonnets.

Not only that, but it also has a stainless steel base, (NOT ALUMINUM), that will not be affected by corrosive liquids.

Pipe dream??

Have a Captain Cook at these pics..................

Here's a video that we shot at the Experience Trade Show in Clearwater at Dusty's RugBadger rug washing booth. The gentleman in the rug wash pit is Anthony Belmonte of Naples Rug Washing Co. The video shows how simple it can be to set up a rug washing pit.

My job just got a whole lot fun-ner.....
Posted by: Ed E - 04-22-2013, 09:56 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (10)

Just got my Spraybot late last week from Excellent. I have been strictly LM spin bonnet until now. I practiced on two large rooms in my home this weekend. Did a nylon sculpted (tan in color) carpet using hydrox, MF scrubber, and back over with superzorbs. Did an olefin Berber using DS2 and Fiber Plus.

The carpets look great, as I expected. What I am really giddy about is the labor productivity that I see in my future. My experience with spin bonnet is that it cleans well, but is labor intensive, and requires equipment and accessories that are often single function. It is ok in resi work, but I could never seem to be very competitive in the commercial world. I am re-arranging my truck today, anticipating all of my jobs this week will either be straight encap or padcap.

I am stoked. I really love what I do, and now I can better serve my customers, be more competitive, and hopefully make more money.

Thanks to Brian and Brenda for their solid advice, patience, and willingness to help educate me. I look forward to collaborating on this forum as well.

Lightbulb Earth Day Special - Bio-Encap
Posted by: encapman - 04-21-2013, 07:02 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - No Replies

Earth Day is April 22nd. So in honor of that - we're running a special on Bio-Encap this week (Monday thru Friday, 4/22-4/26). Save $15 on a case of Bio-Encap!

If you haven't tried Bio-Encap yet, now's a good time to give it a try. You'll find that it cleans on par with Encap-Clean DS2. But it also carries the EPA's DfE certification. It is certifiably a green product. This can be beneficial when you have customers that require a "green" product, or if you're interested in promoting a "green" oriented business.
