  Encap pads and gliders
Posted by: Proud Dad - 11-25-2015, 08:16 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (2)

Hope you can advise:

1. How damp is your cotton pad when you begin cleaning with your OP?
2. How damp is your Microfiber pad when you begin cleaning with your OP?
3. Does anyone recommend using gliders on their OP?

I'm still learning,
Thank you.

I hope we don't mind me asking here about the "HOS environ hp" encap juice. I got a bottle with my orbot sprayborg and wanted to know what people make of it in relation to other encapsulate such as roto-brite 2,surround etc? I'm in the uk and still waiting after 2 months for a supplier to get their Releaseit back in stock so having to read all the great words here but unable to try it.

  VARIO Maintenance Tip
Posted by: encapman - 11-22-2015, 08:43 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - No Replies

VARIO MAINTENANCE TIP:
It is very helpful to regularly lubricate the rear pivot points of the VARIO with WD40. Spray a generous amount of WD40 onto the axle, the swingarm slots, and the handle locking lever. Perform the lubrication over a hard surface floor, and carefully wipe the excess WD40 from the machine with a rag. Avoid spraying WD40 into the wheel bearings, because it will dissolve the grease in the bearings. Frequent lubrication with WD40 will help keep the machine running quiet and smoothly. Wiping down the VARIO and polishing the metal with Simichrome or another good quality metal polish will also help to keep the machine looking its best.

  When using carpet protector...No Soileze.
Posted by: Bernd - 11-15-2015, 11:24 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (11)

I know the Releasit products have Soileze as a protector inside...but i would like to offer a full carpet protector for upselling.

When I use the protector (no Soileze available) should i wait untill the carpet is dry or is it ok when it is still damp? I don´t want to destroy the operation of the polymere thats why i am asking.

Encap Advice Request: Greasy Thai Restaurant
Posted by: MD4ARC - 11-15-2015, 02:35 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (1)

I've submitted a quote for a Thai food restaurant. I'm thinking that the quote was a little low with the price set at .20 per sf. The restaurant is approximately 2000 sf. Where would you price this restaurant cleaning? The carpet is commercial glue down, but there is de-lamination in multiple areas. I did not want to take the risk of further de-laminating from the hot water and agitation, so in spite of the excess grease and oil, I decided to try encaping it . I explained to the owner that it may take a few cleanings before it looks its best. Worst case scenario will be to fall back on the HWE. Any comments on this approach?

I'm still waiting for a response on the quote. In the mean time, I'm putting together a cleaning plan. Because the cgd is dark in color, I'm thinking: pre-spray with Punch, encap with DS2, agitate with Cimex fitted with FiberMax grey, accelerate dry with airmovers and vacuum. What do you think?

Thanks for the help.

Encap Cleaning Advice Request: Coffee Shop
Posted by: MD4ARC - 11-15-2015, 02:13 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (3)

Hello Guys. In an attempt to accelerate my learning curve, I have been reading the blog history. This is my first post.

I am putting a quote together for a local coffee house chain. They have four locations with combination flooring material (e.g. vct, ceramic tile, and commercial glue down). As you can imagine, the medium tone, brown, commercial glue down has lots of coffee stains. What solutions and equipment should I use to clean this carpet? Additionally, how would you price the service? The carpeted area in these shops range from 500-800 sf.

There will be an advantage given to the company that does carpets and vtc. I have no experience with cleaning, stripping and waxing vtc, but am considering purchasing a used high speed buffer for this purpose. Does anyone do a combination service that would be willing to give some insight? How would I charge for the vtc service? At this point, the vtc would need to be stripped and re-waxed.

Currently, I have a few equipment options to choose from: Truckmount, Cimex, BrushEncap and Vario but would like to service this account with Encap. I've used the BrushEncap primarily to agitate pre-spray with my HWE cleaning. I've used the Cimex on some abused, neglected and soil impacted commercial glue down to manage the wicking. To this point, I only played around with the Vario. I'm looking to transition from HWE to Encap.

Thanks in advance.

  Orange Pumpkin spot....
Posted by: Bernd - 11-13-2015, 03:45 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

Another challenge....does anybody have experience with pumpkin spot on syntehtic carpet. A customer called me and wants me to look for it tomorrow.

The pumpkin felt down during a holiday trip. As the homeowner went back out of the holdiday it smelled horrible and they found a orange spot on their anthracite carpet.

i thought of using a bit of the HydrOx spot dilution. Work in and let dwell and then extract it.

What do you think?
