  Rotovac 360i
Posted by: Lounge Lizards - 10-30-2015, 02:12 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (9)

Hi all, I’m chasing some information on encapsulation cleaning &/or bonnet cleaning using a Rotovac 360i.

I currently have a client that has in excess of 80 townhouses, spread over five different buildings.

These buildings are generally three stories high, some more, some only two levels, all built above the car park.
The top levels are all town houses of either two bedrooms or three bedrooms with a study.
All lower level condos are either two or three bedroom.

These are all vacuumed daily by in-house cleaners.
It’s only the town houses that I’m concerned with as they all have these very narrow timber stairs with a sharp 90degree turn both at the top and the bottom.
As you can see by the pics, the Cimex is a tight fit to manoeuvre around where the stairs angle.
The shoe is to give an idea of step size.

Not impossible, but after taking it up three flights, well, let’s just say I’m not getting any younger.
I was looking at using my 360i due to its light weight, ONLY IF IT’S PRACTICAL.
I look forward to any dialogue in this respect.

Ta,

  Brown wood/ furniture spots...
Posted by: Bernd - 10-29-2015, 08:56 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (8)

A customer called me cause of some spots on their light carpet. They have a water bed and the water went through a wooden board on the carpet and made some little brown spots.

The wooden board is not lacquered.

How would you handle these kind of spots ?

  HOS Orbot Beginner
Posted by: AussieOrbotman - 10-26-2015, 07:55 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (6)

Hi. I am a new carpet cleaner from Australia and I have just recently purchased a HOS Orbot machine. In the last month I have had a lot of customers, private houses & have picked up the carpets at a school I clean for. I am just in the process of learning to clean different carpets.Wool carpets that are heavily soiled especially in the main traffic areas have been very difficult to clean.I am using the following - Releasitt DS ,fibreplus pads doing one run spraying then going over dry, and then finish off with absorb cloth pad on bottom of fibre plus pad.
Can anyone suggest some tips and tricks in how to approach these sort of carpets without using a small HWE unit i also purchased?

  Cimex Planetary

I tried posting the other day but didn't get an answer. I figured out how to upload my video to YouTube. My question.... Is this normal for the bigger plate to stop like this.? Either on it's own or with very little pressure holding it.

  stain removal order
Posted by: marsonpee - 10-23-2015, 01:12 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

Just a quickie. When doing a main uncap clean and encounter heavy staining, Is it best to deal with those first with a small extractor? I had a particularly tricky stain today that didn't lift with uncap/pads no matter how many passes and spotter were used. Wondering if it would have been more effective if I treat it first?
Also when extracting contamination areas like urine, vomit etc, do you need to wait for that to dry before encapping or can you uncap over the top whilst still damp?

many thanks Smile

  Bonnet size Microbeast
Posted by: Bernd - 10-23-2015, 04:58 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (4)

I would like to test the Microbeast bonnets but can only get them in 17 Inch from a supplier in the UK.
My rotary is 17" and i have read that the Microbeast shrink a bit when wasching. Do they shrink that much so that they can not be used anymore after washing?

  ...she has no dog...

A customer told me she has no dog...only the neighbour...and the dog was only two times in her bedroom.

I first vaccumed with the CRB...and this was the result. You can imagine how impressed the customer was...she did not expect a mess like this.

  Sock fluff traffic lanes
Posted by: marsonpee - 10-20-2015, 10:24 AM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (6)

Still new to the whole encap game but getting more and more confident with it. One of my nemesis at the moment however is sock fluff on traffic lanes. No matter how much scrubbing I do they look black and horrible.
Currently using a 175+tank with a multibrush which has a white vct pad inside and bristles outside. I then go over with microfibre pads.
Would a CRB agitation help with this problem?

  OP cleaning Oriental Rugs?
Posted by: mark63 - 10-16-2015, 05:36 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (9)

OP cleaned my first Oriental Rugs today with my new OP machine, I had a few problems, The 1st was the runner in the hall kept moving into the wall as I was cleaning it, And the second was the corners of the rugs folding up when I got close to them. I was hoping that a OP pro could give me some advise? Thanks!

  Embarrassing Situation....
Posted by: Bernd - 10-14-2015, 12:34 PM - Forum: GENERAL DISCUSSION - Replies (20)

Yesterday I had to clean a small office. Commercial loop carpet with traffic lanes. Wanted to pick up my equipment out of my car...and could not open the back door anymore!!!! No chance. So i decided to take only the CRB with me through the front door cause the 175 rotary had to stay in the closed back of the car.

Worked with punch and ds2 but the result was not as good as i wanted to be. Customer called today and told me about the traffic lanes. They are still there.

I only used a bit moisture with my pump up sprayer.

I will go and re clean the carpet.

What do you recommend?

I thought of using the rotary...(the backdoor is ok).
